I hear that if you import an Origins > Awakening > Golems > Witch Hunt save, only the Witch Hunt decisions will import, is that true?

No, it's not true.  There are a few flags not getting set properly, and for some of the romances that is due to using saves that aren't Origins-only (has to do with post-Origins saves not retaining the approval ratings of your old companions), but otherwise all the decisions they chose to use in DA2 are being recorded.

Ah, but if I were to use my Origins > Awakening > Golems > Witch Hunt save most of the decisions from Origins and the DLCs would import correctly?

If you make that exact transition, all of your primary decisions from Origins, Awakening, and the DLC's will transfer.  So the game will know who you romanced, how the Landsmeet went, etc.

However, character-specific approval ratings, their stats, specializations, equipment, such like that does not transfer over.  For example, your save will say you romanced Zevran, but it won't say whether he had 100 approval or even 50 approval for you, and it doesn't say what specializations he chose.

There are some big problems in the game that have to be fixed. The reduction from Sebastion and Isabelle are probably the most important, followed by Merrils cut scenes being out of order, and some of the broken quests in the game. Anything after that is gravy, there are bugs like freezing that are only frustrating, but these problems completely break the game from being played in all the ways it should be able to.

Has Bioware announced anything about the "Who Needs Rescuing" quest in Act 3?  I'm still wondering if there's just a major glitch that prevents you from actually doing it or if they had never intended for it to make it to the final game.  Apparently it's not even in the strategy guide.

As much as I don't approve of many of the design choices in this game, if we can get NWN-level patching support from Bioware, that would cancel out a lot of criticisms.

most likely worked fine on their test systems, but the bugs poped up after converting them to pc/ps3/360 format

Is it just me or did the patch somehow remove the standard dagger-attack sound effect?

A bloody modder fixed what Bioware didn't?

WTF BIOWARE!

No, a bloody modder came up with a hacky workaround that avoids the problem but doesn't actually fix it.

It's been how we do things for 13 years now. people need to chill out and buy for the right platform in the first place.

Bare in mind that patches for the consoles have to be accepted by the company in question before they are available. So you will have to wait longer for console patches than PC owners.

I must have a special game then I haven't noticed any of these issues really. I have noticed a few sound issues with some NPC's voice missing, havent seen them since the patch. I havent had any issues with my game but I also have the digital version. There are a few things I miss from origins like the ability to review the conversations, being told what type of injury i have and whether I am logged on to the server or not. That is probably my biggest issues the fact that the game logs me out during game play.
But my real complaints are with the website, like my mage wearing the spiral eye mage set and her picture showing the armor but the armor slots saying i am wearing the apostates set. and a few other issues the web site should be out of it's beta version by now.

Had to reinstall the game to uninstall patch 1.01.  The dragon age launcher wouldn't run properly, and when i did manage to actually get the game running, for whatever reason there was a huge performance hit with the graphics.  Broke more than it fixed in my experience

Hello.
Do you have problem with Hawke character during combat where performed actions (buff casting, special attacks) seems to be slow motioned but things around continue in normal speed? Hawke becomes totaly useless at this moment...Other party members react fine. I checked also some older saves and it is working fine there.

Conceivably the "Isabela's lethal friendship" issue...

Speaking of that, any word on the 1.02 patch and whether it will fix any of the gameplay issues?

Not AUTO ATTACK?

This patch is for the PC. And PC has auto-attack already so that format doesn't need a patch for that.

If you'd actually read the patch notes you'd see why this patch isn't on the consoles as well.  It fixes four PC ONLY issues.

Aside from that, PC doesn't have an unnecessarily long certification process.  We can get the patches as soon as Bioware feels they're ready, whereas Sony/Microsoft feel the need to put it through a month-long process of their own before console owners see it.

It's one reason I got it for the PC after already having it on the 360 and with Amazon having it on sale for the download version. Add to it I had a credit on my Amazon account too. And someone made a game save file creator for it too so I can create the types of saves of DAO I had on the 360 for the PC version.

I think it was Gibbed the same that did something similiar for ME2 on the Xbox but I'm not 100% sure. I got so many mods on the PC version now I lost track who did what. lol  But if it was the same, that means there maybe hope for a 360 version being made too later. Right now they are calling the PC one a "beta" so it's still a work in progress but so far I haven't found anything wrong with the imports. But all my PC characters are still in Act 1 though. One could be done but I am trying to do every side mission first before heading to the deep roads.
