Does it make the game good? If not, I'm really not interested.

Get an X-Box for god sake. I see now 99% issues are on computers. All that fancy hardware...CRASH! (I did enjoy Dungeon Siege games, I must admit...)
My two Hawke's: Level 50. Money: over 12,000 Sovereigns.
I play the game with the Champion and the dog alone in the alleys at night.
Like Metallica said: "Kill 'Em ALL!"
p.s. I use a first release dual-core PC from 2005. XP Pro. 4GB DDR2 360 GB HDD. 3GHZ.
This machine pays me every day I don't buy **** WINDOWS 7.
X-BOX ROX.

Everyone has different preferences and Computers are not all that crashy as you are implying.
Oh, and you should use Windows 7 for a few weeks, it is way better than Windows XP for all intents and purposes, and I have so far used every Windows Version from 3.11 on.

I have an X-Box 360 will that work?  I see now 99% of the issues come from people not knowing what they are doing.
Your two Hawkes are likely on the X-box, where you exploited the glitch to get them that high. Mine I did not cheat for.
Good for you. I do too, at a much lower level Hawke.
Why add a useless quote here?
p.s. My game has never crashed, and I play on a P.O.S. laptop given to me by my school. (still newer than your PC)
It has windows 7.
I could add something here that diminishes my intellegence, but I won't.

Honestly, you kinda sound like you are too young for these forums, but that is my opinion.=]

The 1.02 patch that's coming fixes over 100 issues with your equally broken console release. The only performance/crash issues i've had have been due too a poor DX11 implementation which nVidia have fixed in their latest beta driver. Also PC hardware isn't all that fancy. Its just newer.

If you want to see fancy hardware look to the PS3s Cell.

And the PS3's shiny Cell Processor is just a revamped PowerPC G5

The Merrill bug happened before this patch, and the 1.01 did little to change any story bugs, so probably caused few.

Does anyone know the release date for the Patch to fix PS3 version ? A heads up would be nice from Bioware instead of just concentrating on fixing the PC version. Even if it was just a rough estimate at least us console users would have something to go on.

Please hurry up and get a patch out for the console versions Bioware.

I stopped playing DA2 a while back when my work picked up and now after reading about some of the obscene DA2 bugs (like the one where being friends with Isabella makes you get progressively slower every time you remove her from your party), I think I'm just gonna wait until I see a patch for the Xbox version before I pick it up again.

It really does seem like Bioware rushed this puppy to market. Its a damn shame they didn't throw a few more months of development time into it.

The lack of news on a patch for all consoles is quite disheartening.

Any chance there's going to be a patch forthcoming anytime soon that fixes the broken quests, like the Who Needs Rescuing? quest, for instance?

Soo...when are the consoles getting patched? And how about the Isabella/Sebastion bug? Auto-attack? ...still nothing, Bioware?

Please follow the link within eCP's latest posting within this thread:

People who are interested in the next patch may want to check out the new patch update. This is in all 4 tech support forums as the next patch is for all DAII versions.  ../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png

I had seen the link, and gone to the announcement...but there's still no word on what is being patched, let alone when it's being patched.  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Bioware is doing something behind the scenes, but it would be pretty disappointing to find out that this "coming soon" patch isn't coming anywhere until the next batch of DLC is released...

You think you guys could take a break from coming up with new merchandising and DLC to nickle and dime the users to death and actually fix some bugs? I know EA has different priorities and all but given that so much content in the later acts is broken and unplayable it might be nice if someone spent five seconds working on the way Merril's personal quest runs in reverse, for instance? Just a suggestion.

Wait, I've got an idea! Maybe this will motivate you guys; how about SELLING bugfixes to the players? "You want auto-attacks to work normally? $1.99. Want Maker's Sigh potions to not permanently cripple your character? $1.99. Want the Finding Nathaniel quest to actually appear? $1.99." Individual bugfixes could be like ringtones! Seriously, why not? It's not any more crooked than having Day 1 DLC in the first place.

Actually, come to think of it it's actually LESS crooked. Instead of arbitrarily cutting out content like Sebastian and the dog that was already in the game so you could sell it back to people who already bought what was supposedly a complete copy, this will actually be legitimately NEW content! Bugfixes! What do you say?

You know, all sarcasm aside I can actually see EA doing this in Dragon Age 3. Forget I said anything, I don't want to get blamed for it when you start doing that for real.

It doesnt say anything about imported save game issues. Such as Nathaniel remarking that the Warden commander let the architect live, even though I didnt, seriously, this is the most annoying thing of all the bugs, I dont care much about DA2, but when DA2 ignores the choices I made in DAO , than I get angry

Oof. More than a month, and still no actual patch? Something must be causing some serious issues over there in patch testing land, but whatever the case, obviously most of the people who were going to play the game have played it by now. For good or ill (probably ill), any patch that is released now isn't as going to make as much of an impact on people's enjoyment of the game, so perhaps work has slowed down on it.

ok, so i dont know if anyone else is having this issue, but i am extreamly PO'd right now. I spent 59.95 to buy the PC version of DA2 and it keeps crashing my computer!! It tells me that it has stopped working and then it shuts down the game. Any suggestions? I have un installed and then re installed this game 4 times, updated my drivers and still, i am not able to play. I am very disappointed. I want my money back.

I believe that Luke said the patches for all three platforms had left the developers' hands and were going through the INTERNAL  (BioWare/EA) certification process now.  Vendor certification (Sony and MS) for the game console is a whole other step.  PC players will get the patch as soon as it passes the current phase, console players have to wait on the additional one.
