all ranged attacks until it goes into mob mode.
Once you clear the mob, then unload your attacks on it. If you're a warrior.. just stand back until this point. Play dodge the rolling ball 'o doom for fun.
All damage from the Rock Wraith is avoidable. you just need patience.
