So I bought the DAO ultimate edition from steam a month ago in preparation for DA2 for the 360, odd yes but my laptop isn't that great and I have bad eyes so PC games are hard on me. Anyway I've completed both but I want to know why can't I choose the events from dragon age origins at the beginning of the game other then three options between race and class? I thought it would be like ME2 where it would let me choose the major decisions from ME.

In origins I played as a good human mage who killed Loghain in favour of Alister and let the Queen continue as Queen and in the end I sacrificed my warden. The closest choice I get in DA2 is a human worrier who put Alister on the throne, let Loghain live and did not sacrifice themselves (Did they take Morigans offer?)... I kinda feel that DA2 had a lot cut out of it to either make it fit on a DVD or time constrains especially when I think of how big and complex origins was.
 
Combat in DA2 I found to be more enjoyable.
