Did anyone else just kinda... stop playing?

Disappointed since I played DAO start to finish at least 11 times and not once did I get bored of it. Oh well, hopefully future DA2 DLC is decent...

The maps wont be fixed, and if ME2 is any idication some of the storyline bugs wont be ether.

That would basically have to be a game-changing sized patch, not a DLC.

The main story is just far too outweighed by the optional side quests. I'm a completionist so I want to do all the sidequests, but there's just so many of them, and so little story between them. Not to mention the dungeon and enemys being reused left right and centre. :

I was super-excited for this game. Followed the progress from day one. Had my SE pre-ordered.
But, once I actually started playing it, I haven't been able to get into the game much.
I think, for one, I'm still trying to adjust to the new facial models in the Character Creator. This was a problem I had in Origins, where I literally made no progress in the game because I kept restarting to get my Warden's looks just right. Yes, I know in DA2, you can use the mirror to readjust your Hawke's looks, but I guess I'm just a perfectionist..........lol.
I think another more important reason, however, is when I heard confirmation from the players on this board that choosing specs like Blood Mage and Templar have no bearing or relevance on the story.
For me, that was a HUGE roleplaying/immersion breaker. I had come up with several different cool stories involving a BM Hawke or a Templar Hawke, and I was hoping that would actually affect the story. Y'know, given the whole Chantry/Templar vs Mage conflict ( and the fact that there seems to be quite a few BMs in the story ).
So, when I found out that Hawke being a BM or a Templar made no real difference to the story, I guess I kind of lost interest...........

Thats why I read as little as i can about a game before I play it!

This game sure seems to treat the user like a hamster in a wheel. Hmm, haven't I been here and done this 20 times before? Lets just stop and go take a sip from the water bottle.....
This.
I am 35 hours in, almost at the end (act 3) I am stopping. At least for a few days.
I am f***ing sick of it. The story, the characters, the gameplay... the SAME LEVELS AGAIN.
F*ck it all.
When a game has you drop a couple of hours before the big finale... clearly there is a problem.
Oh, and the romances are PATHETIC. So I was going for Isabella after all, and I did her final Questionin Beliefs quest. So she finally tells me she falls for me. Cool. I thought I had tamed her.
Next thing I know, we go on the Murder of Crows quest, and despite telling me she loved me a few minutes earlier, she goes on to f*ck the sh*it out of Zevran. In front of me. Can you believe this?
Maybe a piece of code stating
IF LoveDeclared=true
(
IsabellaTrampMode=false;
SleepWithZevran=false;
)
would have helped. Was that too difficult Bioware?
Or was it just the purpose to make her a tramp to the end?
I am not surprised she does not have an appreciation thread.
What the ****? She does that? Hell no. I'll just romance merrill when I feel like continuing my character.
Screw Isabella.

Calling it now.
There is zero chance that they will change that. It would require too much time and effort aka money.

The many quests in the first act were so cookie cutter, then all the copy paste dungeons... I had to force myself to get through several times. Especially in the dark plot twists where I often felt "this isn't happy sparetime entertainment anymore!"

OK this is how Man-Giraffe-Dog came to be:

While growing up it was spotted in the wild (but the team was all killed by it and the photos were recovered afterwards)

After which it began its infiltration of humanity, disguised as Giraffe-Dog:

Which leaves us here. Man-Giraffe-Dog is poised to attack and destroy humanity and I'm trying to warn everyone before it's too late. This is totally serial guys. You need to prepare.
Excelsior!
