Im starting to realise a recurring pattern here, where every major battle takes place at night time.. Why is this the case? Is it a method of presentation that makes things seem more epic or something? I dont get it? it seems the only daytime major battles are the ones that take place indoors.. But if outdoors they always occour at night
Origins:
Battle of Ostagar: Night
Battle of Redcliffe: Night
Highever Attack: Night (not really major)
Battle of Denerim .. Well to hard to tell from the scarred sky from the blight, but im guessing Night.
And then in Dragon Age 2; both the Qunari attack and the Templar Annulment take place at night.
Could someone shed some light on this for me.. haha bad pun.. What is the purpose of everything major taking place at night unless indoors?

Maybe armies being slaughtered and cities burning to the ground just doesn't seem the same when the sun's shining and birds are chirping?
That's actually pretty funny, I never even realized they conveniently darkened the weather for every large battle.

Its easier for an attacker at night. They know where the defender is, but the defender can't see them. The defenders will be preparing to rest, but the attackers have prepared to attack. etc etc.
This is a double edged sword though, don't get me wrong.
So ultimately its more dramatic because the bad guys attack at night, when we are normaly safe and asleep in our homes, so they can come in and kill us in our sleep!

The darkness hides the hordes of enemies at your doorstep. All about strategy.
