Take him and Anders with you in the Deep Roads at the end of Act I.

Bring him and Anders with you to the Deep Roads.

This also works with Bethany, for obvious reasons,

EDIT: Double post. Pay no attention to the fail behind the curtain.

Kind of off-topic, but still of the same topic.

If you make him a warden, is he happy as one? I mean on my other save he became a templar because he wanted to be someone. Being a warden certainly is. Or is he gonna whine about it like he always seems to?

Cool! Normally I would've considered this a spoiler but I don't think I would've found out otherwise. Can't wait to bring my bro into the Wardens!

He also leaves the party. I'm not sure if he returns at the end (he probably hangs around with the Wardens during the Qunari invasion), but at least for the most part of the game, he won't be playable. There's no way to have your sibling in your party past Act I.

Yeah, whatever happens, the bottom line is you lose your sibling. They do show up later (act 3, I think at or near the end) but only in a minor capacity.

He seems to become dissillusioned by the templars towards the end, while he comes to accept being a Grey Warden in time.

It seems to me he's happier in the Wardens. Plus, you can interact with him more as a Warden. You see him in Act 2, and while the interaction is brief, he seems to have a purpose. You see him again in Nate's quest, where he resents your rescue. By the end, though, he comes to accept his time in the Wardens and he has a great dialogue with Hawke as you await the last confrontations. In short, I liked him much more as a Warden than a Templar, and it seems Carver feels the same.

The sibling that dies depends on your class.  Mages lose Bethany to the ogre, while the other classes keep Bethany and lose Carver.

You never get more than 1 sibling in the entire game, it's just the way it is. At least it wasn't like the 1st time i played it. now i know some ecrets lol. the 1st time i played the game I was a mage, lost bethany, at the end of the deeproads I lost Carver, and then Since it's a given, you lose the mother too. My mage was an angry bastard lol
