Anyone who has seen the conclusion of DA2 knows the situation. The mages and templars rebel against the Chantry all over Thedas. Also, Fereldan and Orlais are supposedly about to go to war with each other again. There is also mention of a very important and dire mission that the Grey Wardens are on while in Kirkwall. It may have to do with stopping all of the Harvesters  that came out of the Forge in GOA. Or it may be another Darkspawn threat. Either way, if the GW say it's important somthing big must be going on.  With all of this going on it only leads me to believe that the next game will be complete chaos, maybe even from start to finish.

Any ideas on what will happen with all of this?

I hope they break it down and focus on one of the events at a time, instead of clobbering it all into one game. Take your time BioWare, please!

^ Agreed! I would guess that they would probably do some type of bridge dlc with this to try to tackle each area. But, most of our guesses have been wrong as of late. There is no telling where they will go with anything anymore, nor how they will do it.

There will be complete and utter chaos! The mages, templars, Orlaisians and Fereldans will be wreaking havoc, oh, even the magisters of The Tevinter Imperium may join the fray... and the only hope for the mankind lies in... SANDAL!

Sandal is nothing more then a prophet and Enchanter god the rune he gives you is a Frost rune that explains the Ogre and the boom Explains the dead darkspawn it probably just has something to do with when he gets scared he activates runes or something

I just beat DA 2 and I'm curious. When Leliana says its up to him (Or something along those lines) Is she referring to the warden or hawke?

She is talking about Hawke and the situation in Kirkwall most likely. I don't remember the line though. Referring to the post above/too lazy to click quote.

Does it say 'its up to her' if you play as a female? That would be a good way of checking.

You say that like you know it for certain. We can only theorize about what Sandals involvement is.

On topic however, I really look forward to DA3, the build up from both games has been intense. Whatever happens in DA3 is gonna be nothing short of epic. Hopefully we see a bigger involvement by the Tevinter Imperium.

I would like to see us take control of either our Warden (imported and voice acted.) or Hawke, Plus I get the feeling there is going to be a lot of DLC for Dragon Age 2 and it should explain things a lot. Plus focus on how to resolve the Mage/Templar/Chantry conflict, the god child, Flemeth (maybe she is causing chaos for some twisted reason), The Darkspawn. I honestly think its the Harvesters. Then there is explaining Leliana.

I don't know The Idol was important to The seekers and the Harvesters were near Orzzamar were they not. just saying

I think they should resolve the mage insurrection and Ferelden/Orlais war first. If a war does fuel between Ferelden and Orlais, I would expect some intervention from Nevarra (which has been warring with Orlais). Given that Cassandra's role will undoubtedly be larger, the Pentaghast royal family might get involved. As for Flemeth and Morrigan: they could be given expanded roles in DA3, but I always thought of them as semi-permanent characters in the Dragon Age universe. The devs can wait both out for later installments (assuming that DA isn't a trilogy, but instead an ongoing franchise like FF).

Yeah the Harvesters were near Orzammar.  The Deep Roads stretches all the way to Kirkwall though. I think it is under most of Thedas. Anyways,  7-10 years have passed since they were unleashed. I would guess they have spread out since then.  I thought this was the logic initially when I saw the Harvester on th back of the DA2 box. But then they went somewhere dumb with it.

Yeah, I made mention of that too. Being able to control either te Grey Warden or Hawke in DA3 would be awesome. Make it a 2 disc(one for each character). Well, PS3 would still only need one but you get the picture. It would be awesome to see both of your created characters in the game maybe hae them on opposite sides of the conflict or even fighting together depending on your choices. I can't even imagine how I would react if I had to kill my Grey Warden as my Hawke or vice versa. Potentially powerful stuff.

All in all, they do have a ton of storyline things to resolve. If they do choose to do some of it in dlc's I would hope they would make them a decent length and not just very short ones like with DAO dlc. Or they could do DA2: Awakening or DA Awakening 2 or something like that. But, I think the Morrigan God Child, Flemeth, and the bulk of the wars will be done in DA3.

I kind of feel like the tension of the circle system could have been used in more games, especially since I felt DA2 did not do a good enough job of it. All-out war should be cool too though... I hope the story and setup is more like origins, where you can make a character yourself and decide his/her views on the situation.

I hope the war is just first half of the game and then bigger threath comes around. Or that war stops but one of the winners is actualy not what he/she appears to be and this would start another adventure.

I hope, in regards to Hawke/Warden that they become party members and act based on your actions in the previous games. So you'll start a new Hero possible the HERO OF THEDAS? lol IDK but a new character and can have the actions taken by the warden affect his personality and then actions taken by Hawke affect his personality so as party members and interactactive characters they will resemble how you played with them in the previous game

Given Dragon Age's "Gritty" depiction of medieval war thus far this full scale war should be about 8 guys in a field swinging swords and staffs around looking like a bunch of LARPers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the game go to a different part of the map to tell that states sad story. Probably along the same timeline as 2. The whole world is falling apart and I think we will get to see most of it before all of it comes together, probably in DA8 DLC.

Don't forget Flemmeth and Morrigan, I have a feeling Morrigan may end up being the main antagonist, she's up to something, that's for sure. Damn it's exciting though, there's so much on the horizon.
