Alright I should probably wait to ask this until the toolset comes out but I would like to see if someone can change the combat of the mages to be more like the trailer. That means you actually fight with your staff like a warrior mage mix. one of the abilties Hawke uses is Might Blow and then he uses blood magic which that ability I dont even think you can get and you also use it when you kill the ogre at the beginning of the game. Which that part is all npc done. So getting back to it the request is making the mage class more melee like the trailer shows.

If i understood right..... you want us to create a mod that lets you uses warrior talents such as mighty blow ASWELL as your normal mage talents ASWELL as adding in new talents that we would need to create ourselves. Its highly unlikely that you'll be seeing this in the next few months. The new talents would be pretty hard to do in my personal opinion. Wish you luck on finding the stuff you want though.

Like I said I am probably asking too early since the toolset isnt out yet but its worth a try because I think the gameplay would be a little more dynamic if you had the abilities you saw in there trailer. Which is the case when any company makes a trailer.

Just use the console and these instructions to add whatever talent you want. I.E. Mighty blow and whatever other talent you want.

You can find all of the talent codes on this page:

Those codes will give you the talent, but you can't use the talent with a staff. What is needed is to enable 2handed talents to be used with the staff. I don't think the animations will work properly.

Hmm it seems like I remember seeing a mod somewhere that did this....

there is a 2 mods like this but not really the way I would like it I kind of want to change the combat animations but I think i am going to have to wait til the toolset comes out. Mods that are like is is multi class and skill requirements removed on dragon age nexus. which allows you to make like arcane warriors and such but I still would like to change to combat to look a little more the trailer is.

I have a no restrictions mod, just for fun, and I sometimes equip the mage gear on my warrior, this is rather interesting.

well not confirmed yet but bioware did talk to a european magazine and said they use basically the dao toolset just with updates and are trying to find a way for them to update our toolset. So with them saying that I believe we will have a toolset for da2 just will be a while like dao toolset took to come out.

well I tried to use a no restrictions mod but for some reason the restriction of having to use a 2 hander was still on so it didnt work.
