Love DA but bioware should have delayed release to work out all bugs.

WARNING: Before you continue reading there may be spoilers contained.

1. some times after killing enemies does not update quest or trigger the next event. You either have to walk around or talk to the npc several times and see npc repeat the same thing several times in order for the trigger to activate.

2. One example of a bad bug that froze the quest was the quest in the Alienage regarding Ser Otto. You were trapped in the room after killing the first boss. both doors were locked and you could not progress. I had to restart several times.

3.After deciding to spare loghains life you get him as a party member, and Alastar leaves.however when ur at Redcliffe castle talking to Arl Eamon instead of Loghain talking you hear Alastar talking even though its Loghain lol.

4. After closing the deal with Morrigan about the child, the scene after Redcliffe Castle is SEVERELY BROKEN! I swear this is the biggest bug in the entire game. The denerim gates scene does not load correctly and no triggers activate. you can walk throughout a burning denerim without seeing a single enemy or npc. if you talk to Eamon on the hill he ends up saying the same thing he says back at Redcliffe and screws up the denerim area, You end up seeing through the mountains and trees above you and water textures -_-.

So far no matter how many times i try reloading and using the debug cheat  it wont fix that part >.<

But they've not done perfectly (perfection is not attainable after all) and what DOES make me angry is the total lack of response when bugs are reported. DLC is fundamentally broken, apparently for just about everybody, and there have been NO acknowledgements, workarounds or fixes, or even an ETA for such. I can't use Shale and I can't use Warden's Keep, both of which I paid money for, and I don't know if I should wait a few days for a fix, or give up and try to get my money back (a demand which I suspect would be ignored).

Hi BittermanAndy,

I can understand your frustration. As for the lack of responses regarding DLC, outside of a couple responses in the DLC thread (Jason Leong has asked for people in the DLC thread to contact him, for those unaware) there hasn't been very much interaction.

Part of this is because it's hard to make definitive comments about our potential solutions, while we're still working out the issues. Giving ETAs for the patches is us giving feedback, but it is also risky because if our estimates end up being wrong, then the frustration will still continue to grow (people get upset when games are delayed, for example).

I know this message is fairly hollow and in and of itself, doesn't say very much. I'm a QA Tech Systems Tester so I don't have much of the details for the fixes being explored for the DLC issues, but I will say that no one here is happy with the issues many of the DLC users are having, and we certainly aren't casually ignoring their concerns.

I'll ask around and see if I can get some more information, but at this stage it's difficult to promise very much. I'm sorry for this.

Take care.

Allan

I understand the concern. It's in part why I made the post in this thread. It's tricky because there are a lot of threads combined with not enough time in the day. I have other, non-DA related tasks as well, and I have tried casting Timestop but alas it keeps fizzling :)
