You can have sex with her as I understand it. I wouldn't know personally. I told her off.
I don't think you can. I saw that exact debate on Yahoo Answers. Besides, some elven slave or a Rivaini who knows what she's doing? Isabella, hands down.

I hired her on and I don't think I lost any sovereigns. There was lots of extra bits of dialogue from Bodahn, Sandal, and Mother from doing so. I romanced Merrill so I even got some Hawke-a-logue about Orana and Merrill when examining the lute in my room.
Awesome, I'll keep her on, then. Thanks so much for the advice.
I don't think I could romance Merril, though... Blood Mages.
After someone's been touched by a demon... I'd just never feel clean again if I touched them. They simply don't make water hot enough to feel clean after that.
Isabela may be the town bicycle, but there's something to be said for experience. That, and you can flirt with anyone you like for a quick friendship boost anytime you need it.

Oh no, David Gaider writes 2 DA novels with Female Elven love interests, so I'm sticking with my Female Elven Love Interest, especially since he didn't write this one's romance lolKyela684 wrote...

Yeah she cost me the ten sovs, I was like, what???

I remember in origins helping out the Tavern Girl and the Redcliffe Orphans was 5 Sovereigns apiece just to get Denerim. So 10 sovereigns for a slave with no life and no family in a whole new ... uh nation... city-state... uhh, yeah I figure 10 sovereigns is a pretty good start for her to get a place to live in the Alienage and get... basic essentials and give her time to look for work?

Other than Fenris freaking out and going about Hawke starting the slave business and then telling him off once you say "I gave her a job, Fenris."
I believe Leandra said something about it too, if it was really that wise or something like that. And you can of course have one conversation with Orana herself in which you can tell her that you'll be paying her to work etc.
Other than that.. not much as far as I remember. No conversation about it with Merrill or anything..

Because I just found out that you can tell Fenris that you've hired her, get the approval, and kick her to the curb once you get home. That seems like the ideal way to go, since giving her coin makes me lose 10 sovreigns I'd rather not part with for a random one encounter NPC.
Weird. I hired her and didn't lose any money.

She can't function in the real world, best to just "hire" her and pay her to do a few minor chores.
This is pretty much what I was thinking, yeah.
Those 10 sovereigns will just be a waste. At least now she's helping keep the house clean while you do a good deed.

You lose the money if you chose the option, "take this coin and go" when you face her in the dungeon. Fenris comments that she'll probably get mugged, but Isabella approves. I already had Isabella at 100, and besides, 5 approval isn't worth 10 sovreigns. Unless you've really pissed her off.

I love going to bed at night secure in the knowledge that people have been stabbed in the face for the greater good.
