That's so unfair!!! I replayed Act 2, and replayed Act 3 just so I can romance Fenris properly...

Now I finally get him, he doesn't even come and visit?! Even that pyscho Anders lingers at my estate every time I returns, and say something like "you're support means the world to me".

Although.... Fen did say something sweet, like... "say it and it's done".

I'm tempted to just finish Act 3 without finishing the side quests, and get his romance ending..... and maybe I'll reload a save, finish the side quests and get his romance ending again....

He'll also say, "I am yours."  He does visit, though; you just don't see it!  He doesn't like your statue!

I just wonder if fem!Hawke is invited to his weekly card games, or if that is just guy time.

That happened to me too, the first time around, and it turns out that sleeping with any other character prior to him will lock you out of things going further than that conversation in the estate foyer. So, yes, bedding Isabela screwed up your chances with Fen. I had to replay most of Act II to fix that.

You know, he stormed out on me before anything happened in my female Rogue playthrough and I haven't slept with anyone. I even unwillingly turned down Isabella.
As a male Rogue, I slept with Isabella, then Anders, and then STILL managed to sleep with Fenris after that. I call shenanigans. >.<

I dunno. Either the game is glitchier than people think or the stuff going around about the romances is more rumor than fact.
I think if you do Fenris and THEN Anders/Merrill he assumes that you don't care or something and it stops the romance but you can do Anders, kick him out, and then do Fenris afterward. I did it so I know it's possible somehow. I might have just accidentally stumbled into a glitch or something though. You never know.

I think if you end the romance with Anders by telling him he can't move in, then go to Fenris, it may still work.

I was actually a bit annoyed when Anders asked if he could move in.  At that point, I was starting to think he was using me.  <_<

re: the morning after convo with Fenris, wikia seems to think (and I agree) that it is a bug that it does not have the break-heart icon. http://dragonage.wik.../Fenris#Romance

anyway, I came here to see if it was possible to be nice to Anders (after I worked so hard to romance Fen!) and learned it is not, although when I told Anders to get a grip I got friendship points. Since my man-Hawke isn't interested in the ladies I don't worry so much about their friendship/rivalry.

So I finished Questioning Beliefs early-on-ish in Act II. Then a bit later, finished Fenris' main quest in Act II and got the final +10 I needed to get him to 100% friendship. And yet, when he shows up after the Hadriana thing and I say "Don't go." he still leaves. I've flirted with him at every opportunity, given him his gift, etc.

I have flirted with Isabela. I have flirted a bit with Anders. I have NOT slept with Isabela. I know I haven't, because she's waiting every single time I go to Hawke Estate, so I don't even go home anymore. I had to reload from my previous save the first time she showed up. Thankfully, Fenris's scene took precedence over hers and I was able to play it out with him, but he still left. I read somewhere that sometimes he will come back later if this happens? Is that true? If so, it hasn't happened yet, I know because last time I went to Hawke Estate the Isabela scene loaded again. My plan was to sleep with Isabela after Fenris runs off, and then rebound with Anders--that's why I haven't played out the scene with Izzy yet.

So, has anyone else had this happen? Will Fenris come back later if he walks out on you in the "Don't go" scene?

Oh boy.  You've got a lot of relationship drama going on there.    If Isabela is queued up next already, then I'm thinking no.  Her romance scene will supercede Fenris.  Fenris is a very reclusive guy.  All of the other relationships will supercede his.  If you want him, it's easier if you are monogamous from the start.

Nope, on a friendmance, at 100%. I'm so confused. I guess I can turn Isabela down and see if Fenris comes back after that? It's so annoying not to know what's causing the issue.

You do have to turn her down.  DA2 doesn't allow for love triangles the way DAO did.

My guess is the Isabela relationship has progressed far enough that she's scheduled.  The fact you have flirted (presumably), are 100% friends, and he still leaves when you tell him don't go means he's not liking the competition.  I don't know if he will show up later if you turn her down at this point.

Did you let him kill Hadriana by chance? Or did you stop him?

I'll give it a shot. If he doesn't show up again later, I've got a save right before his quest where I can go back and turn Isabela down. Then I can redo his quest and see what happens. I haven't done much more since the scene where he left, so I won't lose much. Thanks for trying to help!

ETA: Oh, and I let him make his own choices about Hadriana, so he ended up killing her.

Just because Isabela hasn't shown up at your house yet doesn't mean that the flag that has here going there isn't set. If I were you, I'd break up with her without having sex, then see what happens. Since you've done Questioning Beliefs, something is causing the romance to be over between Hawke and Fenris.

Since there is no toolset atm I can't look it up to give you a positive answer. But something IS going wrong, and having a second romance that is serious kills the romance for Fenris.

I found that you had to be true to Fenris (as well as answer a few hearts) in order to get the good ending to A Bitter Pill (blue glow kiss and fade to sex). He leaves after no matter what you say to him but shows up later with the red ribbon on his glove. Do the other characters comment on yours & Fenris' relationship? I had Aveline ask during the Long Roads quest and my FemHawk gave Fenris a look and said "It's complicated."

They do.  Merrill comments in a banter how Fenris is in love (which he denies, but she has none of it).  Anders will needle him as well, calling Fenris a fool for leaving Hawke.  Also, Anders will confront Hawke about it in act 3 and Fenris will get jealous of Zevran in act 3 as well, even if you haven't gone on to the next step in the relationship.

I thought it was funny when I talked with mother before I romanced anyone.  She tells me she's thinking of remarrying, then ends the conversation with "I should also start looking for a husband for you".

Ack!  Awww mom...!
