Yes but she had so much depth to her character though.. truley a work of art on Bioware's end.

I disagree there were times I completely forgot about her only Kelly reminded me Jack was there, I also don't get why someone like Shepard would want someone so unhinged on his crew, She needs to be in an institution getting help

And this is how the majority of the player base felt about her. Nobody really took the time to see the art behind her story. Its sad really.

I followed her story line to the very end and the only conclusion I came to about her was that she needed to get help in a mental institution, it just wasn't believable

This isn't I'm-so-hating-Jack thread, people. There is a lot of places to **** about her, here we talk about something else.
Merril is a sweet and glitchy thing - I romanced her in my first playthrought. But out of this two, I would still pick Isabela - she's blunt, fun, and she's ****ing female Capt. Sparrow ! And that's awesome

I can't help but hate Isabela after a certain story event. Anyway, if you want something a little sexier, go with her. Cuter, go with Merrill.

I attempted to romance both in my first playthrough but only Merrill seemed to stick.

I romanced Isabella and she refused the love area and then romanced Merrel and she moved in but i only got the bonus ability from Isabella. But odd thing at the end it says they both stayed with my champion. oddly the voice over tries to say both their names at the same time.

Merril's romance seems to take priority over Isabela's. Merril can move in with you and that cements her as the romance.

I (rival) romanced Merril. IT WAS AWESOME.

But I did love Isabela, it'll be tough deciding on the canon run.

Isabela I guess, her confession scene was pretty sweet and her romance takes a lot more to build.
And the fact that she doesn't move in with Hawke, makes it more exciting I guess.

I had originally intended to romance Isabela, but I found Merrill to be an unexpectedly charming character. So I found it easy to go with her instead on my first playthrough, since Isabela isn't really *my* type (although she will definitely be a future Hawke's type, lol).

Also, I hear rival-romance with Merrill is interesting, so I'll have to try that soon too.

I'm going to say Isabela. There are two ways to get her to come back. Raise her friendship/rivalry past 50, or romance her. The only way to get ambrosia is to get Isabela to come back. Makes it pretty simple choice. Forget love, I want my crafting reagent!

Isabela hands down, not only does she make you work for her, if you play your cards right she even asks you to come sail the seas with her. Considering the crap that does happen in the game, the offer in and of itself is damned tempting.

As a character she's well rounded, but I love how much further she grows from there and how eventually she got along with most if not all the squaddies.

Isabela is a better romance option. I liked Merrill and Isabela equally but I think of Merrill as a little sister not a romance option.

I quite liked Jack, (wish she wasn't called Jack though. Subject Zero was a MUCH better name), but until she grows her hair back, I wouldn't romance her. I was surprised how much depth was in her character since I don't think ME does that as well as DA. Nearly related to her, furthest I've got to with an ME character.


BUt anyways, Merrill. All the way. Isabela's far too promiscuous and I'm far too conservative. But it does feel like she doesn't REALLY love you. And by the way, I romanced Morrigan.

Merrill has substance. Isabela is a worthless waste of air. I'd sooner sleep with the archdemon.
