In Anycase I wanted to say many people are not giving the choices in this game + the story the respect it deserves. Though I cant go into detail because of the "no spoilers" and Granted at times the story was lacking in depth, and the ending is always the same unlike DA:O.... I noticed there are ALOT more trails to go down from beginning to end to get to the ending, and the route you take is YOUR story. Your choices do actually effect how things play out more than in DA:O.
I know DA:3 is coming, How DA2 ends, and the little hints (Again cant go into detail of what all the 10 hints i've found of what DA3 will have in it and the story due to the no spoilers), is more than obvious, especially with the big bang ending this game has. Which brings me to my ultimate conclusion.
The reason they did not allow multiple different endings, is because DA2 ending will heavily influence how DA3 starts. DA:O and DA:2 are simply preludes to DA3. While DA:O influences how DA:2 and plays, DA:2 influences how the story of DA:3 started and starts.
I personally feel this is a grand scale of a series of games, and that Bioware is actually doing a great job on it.
Since this game was rushed however, and they did copy paste so many things, and rushed it, that this game isnt getting the grade it deserves looking beyond that, and looking at how the story plays out.
SO my official grade for Dragon Age 2, looking past the unfortunate rush and at how DA:O and DA:2 coincide for the DA:3, I am bumping my grade up from a 5/10 to a 8/10
