Sigh dont get me started<_< Poor Alistair, botox wasnt for him. Cullen is the only one I think looks like himself, but is much more handsome. .The rest look abused. Though Anders is ok

Just for fun, I did some DAO/DA2 comparisons:


Alistair

Anora is obviously feeding him too much cheese.


Zevran (MUCH cuter in DAO, imho, though lots of people decided to mod his face and make him look younger. I'm not a big fan of the elf morph in DA2. Area 51 aliens come to mind.)

I know this is sacrilege, but I LOVE his looks in DA2. I wasn't attracted to his pixels in Awakenings, though I liked his character. I like his DA2 voice better, too. Cullen can keep the old Anders voice.

Cullen and Anders improved. I'm not sure about Zev, because I don't like the new elf model, but that's just me. Alistair on the other hand...  
Sigh. My mage warden should better not run into Cullen. Alistair could lose her if he goes on like this. On the other hand... no, she probably wouldn't betray him. Probably.

For completeness sake - Nate (pardon the blood):
They did a decent job on this one I think - except his eyes magically changed colour.  Eh, could be worse.  I think the Zev model has issues because they tried to use the new elf look and still have him resemble the old Zev.  Not a happy mix.

I finished my first mage siding run last night - that step back looked more like "we're finished here - off you go" rather than fear. The expression before that seemed like considering the options and deciding which was right. IMHO anyway.

The thing is, a total of seven years have passed, right? So, if Alistair was, say, 18 or so when we first met him, he'd only be 25! I guess that Darkspawn blood has a bad effect, though

Nate is very handsome in DA2. Designers were kinder to Awakening men.
And to Cullen.
BTW, it makes me giggle, that when I started my fancomic about him, the first thing I changed was his sword. I replaced his greatsword with a lond sword and shield, to look more like a real templar. And then BioWare did the same thing

@Gala - I noticed the change of weapon too! Much more appropriate I feel. It felt out of place to me in Origins for some reason - Cullen just seems more the protective tank type.

It's not only the nose...it's the whole face....it's swollen...l can hardly see his eyes.....if not hearing his voice i wouldnt recognise him....Zev too but Zev  suffered the general elf change so i can understand that...but Alistair.....Leli looks good and Nate looks even better...Cullen is more handsome than ever...Alistair....no.....

See, you cheat on your husband with a god first and then you end up being a bride of all cool men in Thedas. The horrible death was totally worth it! Amells and Suranas must repeat that if they want to win Cullen's love. (Or maybe not, because Cullen made no chastity vows at least, he's just shy )

Definitely, I mean, damn.

I still can't wrap my mind around how he managed to get so incredibly hot without it looking like a cheap retcon to please the fans. Mind you, he was hot in the first game as well, but he's sexy like woah here. Whoever modeled him deserves endless plates of cookies.

Oh I know, I just like this particular pose. How did he get so handsome this time around. And its not only his looks, but his whole person. He just seems more mature, and sensible. He has to be in the next game as a full companion.
