I'm holding out for him in DA3. The build-up and his personality in DA2 was just. so. amazing. BioWare, you ripped my heart out and made a delicious smoothie with it this time. I'm kind of hoping you guys do the same in the next game, but with an added Cullen romance. Because it'd hurt

Never understood the fascination with Cullen. Don't want the zealot templar.
Good thing he isn't one. In DA2 at least.

I'd love to play a mage who romanced this perfectly fine specimen of knighthood. We could both say FU to the Circle and the Templars - let them all burn each other to the ground.
Or better - we could save everyone, reform the Circle and the Templars and be applauded as the heroes who finally had reason enough to fix Ander's mistake - stop the BS of the Templars - and make the world safe for puppies (not cats) again.

Bioware, please give us Cullen as a fully romanceable companion in a DLC or Expansion..I've always been interested in him as a character since I played the Mage origin in DAO. Then after seeing him again I liked that you expanded his story. Now I want him. That is all.
As if I didn't already adore him enough in Origins before he developed his newfound emotional stability and good sense. That man needs, and deserves, to get laid something fierce!
It's hard to complain when we've got Fenris, Anders, and Sebastian all in the same game, but... *sigh* it's Cullen! If not Cullen, though, we should at least get to see Sebastian lose his secondary virginity for real. (They do both have that whole untouchable-yet-secretly-thinking-very-naughty-thoughts thing going on, after all.)

Y'know, funnily enough, I've never been on board with the mage/templar thing. Not really. I understand the allure, but I'm more prone to pair Cullen up with a warrior than a mage. In DA2, at least. Then again, I don't care for Fenris with a mage, either, and paired him with my warrior. Maybe I just like warrior women. I don't know. :<Wynne wrote...

But now I would like to see him as a LI. =D He won at the end of the game, I think my warrior was ready to run off with him when he stood up to Meredith.

Normally I do like that sort of tension, but whether as a creepy zealot or a straight-up templar, is he really going to abandon the order?Calla S wrote...

My thoughts exactly. He needs to get some lovin. And from a mage would be so much fun.

He's one of the few people in DA2 I felt were awesome without being a douche.
Might've been hard to tear away from Anders but I'm sure a couple of my Hawkes would'e gone for that.

I like warrior women, too, but for some reason I don't want to pair them with other warriors. I guess I enjoy the contrast or conflict, and sometimes both. I laughed with fiendish delight when Fenris pushed my Lady Hawke up against the wall and she did it right back to him. She constantly challenged his assumptions about what mages had to be like, and he was constantly the devil on her shoulder fuming when she was soft on other mages yet again... it just felt too fun. There was a bittersweet warmth between them because she hotly disagreed with him, yet never stopped caring for him or defending him from anyone who came after him.Calla S wrote...

I appreciate people coming from different worlds to fall in love. I do have exceptions, though; my sarcastic archer rogue will get along great with that pirate wench. They are much more similar than different.
With a little bit of decent character development, I wouldn't have any trouble imagining him pushing for reform within the Order. Obviously, since Ser Wesley and Aveline were married, it's not like templars can't marry. And since Hawke is not a member of the Circle Cullen guards and likely never will be... remember, she's not a mere apostate in any case; she's the Champion. Even Meredith didn't try to force her into the Circle, nor try to harm her until the "persuasion" of her friend Mr. Sword became too strong to ignore.Addai67 wrote...

Cullen definately seems to have recovered in DA2, and he actually seems fairly balanced now, in contrast to Origins where he was fairly nuts at the end of the Mage Tower quest. I can only wonder what the devs will think of us Cullen fangirls now they made him more stable.
*Slightly off topic, but does anyone know why Ellis didn't get to voice Anders? Even he thought he was and then suddenly it's Howden?

I would love to see Cullen brought over to DA3, and then as a LI. Maybe the poor boy can have some hard-earned happiness.

Too late! You had your chance in DAO and blew it!
Teasing him like that, making him blush.
Alluding to going 'elsewhere' and talking things over....
He ran away crying.

Greg Ellis did both voices in Origins (which you probably know, apologies). At first I was all "oh noes, different VA for Anders" but after seeing how much of Cullen there is and hearing those lovely tones again, I'm all "ooh Cullen. That's much better."
The ending of my run was so good I wanted it to keep going - how many Templars can kneel to an apostate before she turns into Andraste?

They're not allowed to dally with mages, however. I think someone in DA2 straight out says that. I just cannot see how a templar knight-commander and apostate mage could ever work, no matter how awesomely awesome the apostate. Especially with a war going on.Wynne wrote...

The devs have said they don't like to give the same VA to major characters. Perhaps they felt that because Anders isn't really Anders anymore, it made more sense to give him a new VA rather than Cullen?
Only conjecture of course others may know the real reason.
