Aww, thanks for the sweet welcomes. I'm writing a fanfic about Cullen at the moment, although it is set in DA:O. It's a Cullen x FemAmell story. :3

WOW. That *IS* one serious set of puppy eyes he's giving She-ra, Princess of Templars! Cullen loves the mages...we know he does. He may always be pushing the issue that they are dangerous...but methinks that "danger" might be his middle name.

Did he go off to the Wilds and start his own mage-templar commune with lots of love and everybody protecting everybody? I've got this new notion for DA3 that maybe Cassandra et al. eventually find Hawke and get her to "help" them with the whole war thing somehow. They enlist ex-templar Cullen to become one of Hawke's companions in order to serve as their spy. He gets all angsty and torn with the role, as they hold something over him...dunno, redemption or rejoin the templars or some such. Plus he starts to realize her luuurvs Hawke. Could be an interesting new twist on the templar loyalty drama, esp for a mage Hawke.  </end free-associating>

But, yeah, seriously, I don't think we'll get anything but screwed up Cullen if he is ever a LI, because....GAIDER!  Enough said.

Eh, I wouldn't worry so much. While I think the "Creepy" Cullen of 'Origins' held SO MUCH appeal on a lot of different and twisted levels, he's clearly grown and changed since then. The Cullen of DA2 was strong and assertive, no longer the stuttery adorable man-child he was before and we're all just going to forget about the creepy "he went nuts and killed everyone" possible outcome, right?. If, and we can hope, Cullen comes 'round as a LI in DA3, it's very likely that it could happen without the creepy-ness. ♥

I'm not optimistic about ANY future LI. At all. Unfortunately. Just look at how the BW writers love to screw up romanceable characters. Angst and misery is always the order of the day. It's so damn predictable, it's almost funny.

*sigh* I still hope for Cullen, but I doubt it, which makes me sad. If we get him, we won't have any more opportunity for a happy ending than we did with Anders.

I know! They will make Cullen a DA3 LI, but at the end of the game, he will go crazy and turn into an abomination. THAT'S never been done before!!!!

Like I said, I think that Cullen is still very much a secret lover of the mage population. He talks a good game, but we know...we know. I don't remember ever getting the outcome where he flipped his wig, but considering what he went through...yeah.

I think the change in him, the growing up, the hot arse changes to his model and the assertiveness that he's aquired would serve him well in being a level LI in DA3. Not to say that I don't think he would still quietly obsess about brushing your hair have his qualms about signing on to the mage cause. He's definitely seen that the templars will take things to the extreme and he's obviously not comfortable with that.

Cullen in mage robes sort of makes my eyeball twitch. Not much you can do with the staff issue...but there is a staff in the sunnies mod that is made to look like a spear. I handle that a bit better than having say...Malcolms Honor strapped to his back. haha.
