I actually wish he could become the next Knight-Commander of templars in Kirkwall and make the Circle there a better place. Thanks to Meridith, he doesn't even need to remove creepy statues anymore :) I believe he could make a lot of good being there, not adventuring with another epic hero somewhere. But seeing him in DA3 would be nice anyway. And if he would be a LI... Well, I will start to believe that magic exists in our world and makes my crazy wishes come true. I was very close to that when Anders came back as a LI.

Edit for the top (for a habit is a second nature):

BTW, what exactly does he say about f!Amell? I've imported my Surana who did the US, but all I got from him was a line about Meredith not being fooled by a pretty face, but he said it even in my After-Cousland game. Ah, I wanted him to say something nice about the Hero of Ferelden. :(

He only does if you imported female Amell.

EDIT: Correction, he only says something about an Amell of either gender, but his comment about male Amell is decidedly different. ;)

No, you can't romance him! He's actually a good templar who takes his vows serious! Don't ruin him by making him someone you can sleep with! I mean, look how adorable he was just THINKING about talking to ****s! "The.. Er.. uhm.. ladies"

*beatstick*

Back, back!

If anything he should be someone who your character could flirt with RUTHLESSLY and at the end he goes "I'm sorry. I WANT you, I do. Trust me. I dream about you.. but I made a vow, and I woudl never be worthy of you if I broke it."

And of course pull it off better then Seb because at least Cullen is manly.

I'm happier with him never being an option at all rather than having a second Sebastian. That would just be cruel.

@Aris Ravenstar, thank you! Aww, I can't wait to import my own Amell save. He sounds so sad.
@Heidenreich, I agree. I like the potential of his own drama: "I loved a girl once, but my duty is more important than my selfish desires". This is why demons couldn't break him, I think. And this is why I respect him. Unlike that guy Sadatt  from the official comic. But I wold romance him if there was an option, because I can't resist.

^_^I was just going to mention Seb as a chaste romance. They've done it before, they can certainly do it again! And better this time! :P

@Aris Ravenstar, what's his comment if you import a male Amell? I'm a bit dissapointed to hear he doesn't say anything for Suranas, that's the only mage I've played as... Although I don't really like how I roleplayed as her... perfect excuse to roll another mage :D

@Galgraphia, He is quite a strong person to resist the demons! Stronger than the others in the tower at least... And I also would not be able to resist him. ^_^

I'd romance him in a heartbeat. And I don't think he'd be another Sebastian. Templars can marry, Brothers can't, so it's an apples and oranges thing.

But a romance with Cullen would be really cool. I'm not a huge mage fan, but I'd especially love to see a mage/Cullen romance unfold. *evil grin*

I actually would not be interested if it were a romance with a Circle mage under his charge (and it speaks to his character that he didn't go there with a female mage Warden), just because he's in a position of power over a character like that. But with Hawke, or the new protagonist of DA3 (who isn't going to be a Circle mage, I presume)...sure! I would be thrilled. Just keep his voice actor and don't make it horribly tragic with no chance of a positive resolution, please.

I always forget that they can marry, because it was such a huge issue with Cullen and that bewitched templar in the Circle. Maybe they have something like "white clegry" and "black clergy"? Templars who serve in cities and villages can marry and those who are locked in the Circles with mages can't?

Here's his comment about male Amell:

I used f!Amell as my first import because I like the idea of two of the Big Damn Heroes of the decade being from the same family. They have epic genes or something. :P

@TeenZombie - I actually agree with you about not wanting him to romance a circle mage. Especially after you hear some of Anders comments about Templars abusing their power. But, an apostate romance... that would be great!

As for tragic, I don't think Gaider and Co know how to write a romance any other way, do they? I haven't done all the romances in DA2 yet, but you have to really set some massive principles aside to stay by Anders and have the privilege of fleeing Kirkwall to live in hiding from then on for what he's done.

@Galagraphia - Yeah, it took me a long time to get used to the idea they can marry. My guess is circle Templars are single, but they might just have tours of duty and go home to their families once in awhile.

@Aris Ravenstar, wow, thanks for your videos!
I'm sure Amell genes are epic, little Carver should stop complaining about it!

BTW, did anyone import the crazy Cullen epilogue? He's still a nice person or, you know, crazy?

I wouldn't judge all of them based on the Anders romance. That's pretty much the worse case scenario when it comes to tragedy. Fenris' and (I imagine) Isabela's aren't too tragic. Can't speak for Merrill, she's perky but boy does she get hit with the angst hammer (is that a thing? It is now) near the end of the game.

My epilogue had him going crazy and he wasn't at all in DA2. I thought it was the default epilogue since I always seemed to get it in DA:O. What do you have to do to make him not crazy?

The crazy epilogue is only for mages, right? I imported a City Elf for my first playthrough who sided with the mages, he was there fine. And mentioned killing all the mages too o.O @Aris, I think you just have to side with the templars. *Also thanks for the videos! That is a quite different reaction... I wonder if he misses F!Amell...?*

I'm pretty sure I got the crazy epilogue on my Mahariel as well. It must simply depend on who you sided with, I never cleanse the Circle.

A Cullen romance would be really awesome. He is so awkward with the ladies. XD

@Aris, I heard that for some reason his craziness has something to do with Anora being a queen. I only got this epilogue with my f!Amell who spared Loghain and gave freedom to mages. Than I got that crazy Cullen epilogue, cursed like a soldier, reloaded and asked for a Loghain statue instead of the mage boon. And got no crazy Cullen in the epilogue. Oh well, I just see how much Anders disapproves of me right now XD

I just checked the wiki, I was sure that the Cullen slides only come up with a mage warden but it doesn't say anything about it being specific to origin. :) My Surana ended up siding with him after fighting Uldred, so the mage tower got cleansed then.  I also remember with my Surana I did the US and Cullen went crazy in the epilogue, and then I redid it, sacrificing Alistair and he was fine. :P

I think the Cullen epilogue slides are bugged, then... Then again according to Witch Hunt he's supposed to be in Greenfell or wherever, not Kirkwall. ^_^

I always want to pinch his cheeks and go "awww" when he says "But I had no luck interrogating the, ah, young ladies there". Greg Ellis' VA is awesome and I'm grateful that they didn't make him a psychotic Templar in DA2 considering how things went for him in Origins.

Angst hammer!  Love that phrase!  Tig appoves +10 (or would that now be Tig Friendship +10).

I will agree that Anders is probably going to be the most tragic romance in DA2.  I've just started Act 3 of a Fenris friend romance, so we'll see how that ends.  But I'm not sure Gaider believes in happily ever afters so I'm not holding my breath on any of them in the long run.

In DAO I always wished my mage could have kissed him, he was cute before he went crazy but he has gotten rather lovely in DA2.

yum yum

Hehe, he's so adorable when he talks about those "ladies", I wonder how old is he.
Oh, is it just me or did he remind Commander Shepard to anybody else when he was kicking that templar recruit? Maybe the "crazy" part from his epilogue was based on that episode? You know how stories change when Varric or Leliana are telling them :)

When he sided with me against Meredith at the end I could've kissed the man. I hope he's Knight-Commander in DA3.
But yes, he'd make an excellent romance sigh.

Anybody else have a hold-your-breath, "OH, MAKER THEY'RE GOING TO KILL HIM IN A BLEEPING CUTSCENE!!" moment when he stands up to Meredith in the end?
