Yankee...about Irving and Gregoir...yes exactly the way I see them. And since I'm on movies, they definitely could fit the roles like Jack Lemmon and Walter Mathou. ;P

R2.. I always loved that movie. I have another quote on my profile...about Chris Knight's dreams about little pickles.

re: arresting Hawke, indeed, I keep imagining Hawke and Cullen talking later about that fact.
"Sooo, were you really going to arrest me that day?"
Cullen blushes, but answers, "Um, unfortunately, yes. But that would have been better than the alternative! OH look at that cloud... it looks a bit like a bunny rabbit."
Poor Cullen. Will he ever meet a girl that doesn't have cause to ask him something like that?

Um, me either?(And no, I don't side with the Templars just for the bow...
)
Regarding the last look when he let's a Mage!Champion (or mage supporting Champion) walk away- everyone already knows my take on it, if you read Hunter. It's true that it's terribly open to individual interpretation though.
I think it's also not surprising that Cullen is eventually going to outstrip a certain other character in popularity. Cullen is sweeter! (My opinion only, Seb lovers don't hit me! *ducks*)
Gala, I keep listening to that youtube video you linked of Greg Ellis singing. *swoon* I swear, that man has a voice like poured honey. I can't get enough!
(Look at the banner my hubby made for me! Okay, the print is too tiny to read and such, and he says he will fix it, but awwww, wasn't that sweet? He supports my obsession. I wub him so much.

Yes, they do! Templars and mages all over Thedas - unite! <3
And make love not holy smite and all that
Edit: I forgot, I love Holy Smite too much to live without it!

@Gala -- hey, thanks, I didn't realize it was a fullblown published comic... I had figured it was some fan thing. And, written by Orson Scott Card. Wow.
My favorite quote of the day now, toss up between:
"Someday we'll live in a world where people like me don't have to arrest people like you."
and
"make love, not holy smite"
I dunno, the latter may need to be made into a banner... LOL You guys slay me.

But...I'm not so sure. He still had a lot of Templars standing and there's only four of the Hawke gang. If its possible that Cullen could have won the fight and managed to kill/arrest Hawke, that gives the whole scene an entirely different feeling imho.
Ignoring what 'we' know about the game mechanics and just pretending we're in that space with them. Why on earth would Cullen expect to lose the fight? I wouldn't if I was him. So why not fight?
For me my thoughts on why not are still the same as I posted earlier. He's tired of killing.
Eh, just something I was thinking about with my morning coffee

I usually have Nate and Zev join my final battle. I'm voting for one of them lurking over there, getting ready to madly turn the handle to lift the gate.
Mustn't impede Hawke's dramatic exit ;-)

Cullen looks at Hawke, Hawke looks at Cullen, Cullen nods and steps backwards. Hawke turns around and moves towards the gates. Near the gates the party stops, Hawke scratches her head and shouts to the templars: "Can somebody open the gates for us? Hello? Pretty please?"
Cullen facepalms and orders the Girly Templar to do as the Champion said.
Girly Templar runs across the Gallows in her girly way, stumbles over her skirt and falls with epic metal bang. Aveline facepalms and just lifts the door with one hand, letting everyone out. On the way to the boat Varric comforts Hawke that he will make up something more heroic.

@Gala- Oh Maker! That's epic win right there. XD Girly Templar... *snickers* I was wondering, trying to figure out if it was a girly boy or actually a female under that armor... I can't tell, it can go either way. XDD And Aveline would do that. She would. XD
@Avilia- Cullen definitely could have taken Hawke, I'm sure. Or at least given him a real good fight and ending in a draw. I would never be able to kill Cullen though, if it ever came to that. Oh... I hope not! TwT
