I think his angst about the Templar Order alone would make for great LI drama. No matter how the whole mage-templar war goes down, it's bound to be different once the dust settles. Esp if there's the rumored exalted march coming.

Well, first off I think it's about time we a got a little more "mature" LI. I would have been all over Teagan!
I agree about Cullen being great choice to create some LI drama in the middle of the mage/templar war. It's not out of the realm of possibilty that he could be promoted after the events in Kirkwall. It could be really interesting to find our next protagonist in a romance with a major player in the conflict. He could be our first non-companion LI.

Cullen: Hi honey, just blowing through town for a little nookie, then back to the front lines.
PC: But... aren't you going to run around town with me, you know, helping the helpless and doing mundane jobs for complete strangers?
Cullen: No, no, I've too many important things to do. One cannot be idle when changing the face of Thedas.
PC: ...
Cullen: Oh, don't worry, you'll get to do important things, too, once you reach, you know, level 26 or 27 or so.
PC: ...
Cullen: Yup, you complete me! :wub:Well, gotta go!

@Bekk - and not nearly as fun if you never ever get to see them....
Also, potential lyrium withdrawal. It gives Bioware the angst and tragedy they love so much.ladyofpayne wrote...
I am sure Cullen will be LI in DA 3 because of
- Pretty face.
- Warrior class.
- Sad past.
- Tragic love
- Chastity in 30 years.

@Bekkael. R2, and other readers... I finished the calendar fill. It's maybe rubbish, but it's done. Posted with beta-reading for now just that it can be up, but I'll post it to my FF, DA, and AO3 accounts later...

And I agree about the ability to speak to a companion/LI whenever we want...
Also, I support angst.

Exactly. Long distance relationships suck. I want to click on my LI all the time and hear stuff like: "My love?"*insert swoon here*

Stage 4 - Post naughty stuff - "The Maker will strike me down." next click "Don't bother I'm not ticklish" next click "Stop it." Next click "I said, stop it" Next click "manly chuckle"
Because if anyone needs tickling its Cullen

In thinking about what I'd want him to say, my brain keeps going back to the old DA:O companion model. I keep hearing "Yes my love" and "Well, we're in camp..." "Fooled you did I...?" *big sigh* I sorta wish they'd go back to those slightly deeper conversations you could have either in camp or wherever.
But, hey, I'll take tickling wherever. Of course, I doubt Cullen would [any old place, that is]. I could see something like, "My dear, not in front of our friends!" "I wish we had more time alone." "You're right! We do need another bath."
