Okay so it is my theory that that statue women in the basement is right about a coming darkness.
I think Flemeth is the dredd wolf the one who locked all the gods away especially the maker.The maker was actually corrupted as well when the tevinter magisters entered the Golden City now the Black city.All his love for the world was replaced with anger,hate,selfeshness and this corruption also spred to his powerfull first children the Old Gods and the Elven gods but there was one born with an immunity against corruption Fen'rahel the dredd wolf, who we know know as Flemeth locked all the gods away in their respective realms.But after thousands of years flemeth is tired of protecting the world so she sets in chain a series of disasters the Blights,the new thesdas war in dragon age 2.
as a distraction to bring the the corrupted maker back into the world so he can destroy thedas once and for all.I think Morrigan knows this and i think she is the reincarnation of Andraste who was actually a powerful mage and Flemeth knew of this so raised her and brainwashed her so she wouldn't find out the truth.But there is a destiny that 3 heros will defeat flemeth and the maker.They are Hawke,The Warden,And the Old God baby the Final battle will take place in the Black city Flemeth will fight Morrigan.While hawke the warden and the ogb will battle the corrupted maker.With Flemeth finaly destroyed morrigan/andraste shows the maker the beauty of his world again and offers to go back to heaven with him the corruption leaves the maker and the warden if he romanced morrigan says goodbye.The 3 heros then return to thedas where all the nations are at peace and see them as heros.
