Looking to do a new playthrough, Want to do a Dual Wield Hawke, but also want to keep Isabella in the party and have the two of them focuz on DW, Scoundrel, and Sabatoge (plus extra crit damage spec trees for Hawke)
question is, who should the other two be? Do i really need a healer? I dont want to have anders in my party again.
What about Varric and Sebastian and have 4 rogues in total?
Or Merril and Fenris?
Tips much appreciated
Party Suggestions plz

To do some the boss you have to have a tank the high dragon is one.
And a healer will help.
So I go for a tank and mage.

Isabela is garbage in fight.
Used Fenris dps build for tank (lot faster kills then with Aveline), Merril speced in primal and entropy, Anders speced in primal, healing and cold spells from elemental.
Two Petrify spells are very nice.
Downside is that you have to listen to those two emo-cutters Fenris and Anders yapping the whole game. -.-

If you want to go with two rogues, I would go for a huge dmg dealer that can keep aggro, so either Fenris or Aveline as Vanguards, and then a mage for crowd control + upgraded heal. One of the rogues should do some aggro control, preferably the one you're not playing, so you it can be automatic via tactics. I would use Varric for that since Bianca is awesome, and so is his Banter. Too bad only Anders can do healing, I find him annoying ...
Start off with the warrior on attack nearest visible so he gets a bit of a headstart with aggro. Once you catch up, you need Varric to get aggro on the warrior again.

I've been playing as DW + Archery Rogue on Nightmare.
I think it may be different on lower difficulty settings but I've found the following party composition almost imperative to get through tough battles on Nightmare with Rogue Hawke:
(1) 2H Fenris tank
(2) Anders with group revive + CCC Petrify + CCC Chain Lightning + galvinism if possible
(3) Merril with blood of the first + CCC Petrify + CCC Chain Lightning + galvinism if possible
I would make sure at least one of your mages has

Aveline with taunt, shield wall and rally, for tanking purposes. Varric with goad to keep 'em focused on Aveline.
Merrill in place of Varric would work. She is also a beast for CCC, Plus she's adorable with her blood magic and all.

if your going to use 2 DW rouges, make sure you do not take fenris with you for a tank if nightmare... aveline in shield defense will be your best friend. this is due to the fact that shield defense gives you single target damage vs a small AoE, and the damage reduction doesn't hurt much either.
also, you should get pretty much the whole assassin tree (outside of relentless strikes).
i always thought a duelist / assassin DW rouge would be fun. between assassinate, vendetta, and twin fangs... noone short of boss types stands a shot in h***, and even they would fear your "burst damage, and run around" tactics
just keep in mind though... shadow > duelist, it was just a "fun" point of view.
