I could slap here all way long or even throw her down that cliff on the coastal road. Her constant insecurity and pathetic "I am so sorry" makes me angry beyond reason....she's like a baby who needs to be catered and yet by all means some kind of evil lurks in her.

I thought Fenris would be my least favourite companion, but by act 3 he was quite likeable.  I'd have to say I didn't like Anders very much.  I knifed him in the finale and helped the Templars out with their mage problem.  Granted my first playthrough was with a sword and board warrior who chose Templar abilities as soon as they were available.

Hate? no.  Dislike, yeah.

Apparently if Sebastian is romanced as a rival, he will decide to take over Starkhaven and become Prince. If you're the Vicountess of Kirkwall, he makes a comment about them being the strongest alliance in the Free Marches. The rivalmance seems better....in my opinion....IF that is truly the outcome.

Anyway, I definitely dislike Sebastian. I completely forgot to mention him in my original post...because I rarely bring him along with me and I find him quite forgettable.

The only one that came to mind is Carver, but I don't hate him, just dislike him.

At first I didn't like Fenris so much, but on my second playthrough I tried to get to know him better and he turned out to be alright

I don't hate any of the companions, but I do dislike two of the companions that being Merill and Anders. Merill for being annoying and Anders for never shutting up about mage freedom.

And I'm really disappointed in Anders.

While I don't and can't hate any of the companions, Fenris' brooding was a little too much for me and I found him to be annoying. "Oh, if you don't agree that your sister is a viper, I will hate you forever!"

I don't hate or dislike any of the companions, but I found Merrill's personal quest/mission, aka The Mirror, to be both unreasonable (she's dealing now with blood magic AND demons) and unnecessary self-imposed drama. 

It'd be like my sister suddenly giving up her family, career, and finances on a mad quest to restore a gramophone.  Just because it's part of your history doesn't mean it needs to be restored at the cost of your life and livelihood.

Merrill and Anders for reasons which have been stated several times already, and Aveline to an extent since she stubbornly refuses to see any further than her principles. Sebastian because of his holier-than-thou-Chantry-missionary attitude, but I didn't use him a lot.

Fenrir and Carver actually grew on my second playthrough. Yeah Carver is a douche most of the time, but he's a loveable douche.

Bethany. She's too agreeable about everything. Even when I tossed Faynriel and Grace to the Templars.

I also disliked Merrill a lot in my first playthrough with a Mage. No blood magic for me, no way.

And Anders really broke my heart in that first playthrough, so I'm jumping in with Fenris this second time around. Such a tease though.

I really liked all the characters. Well, I shouldn't say I "liked" them more or less I appreciated them for what they were. There were plenty of times when I wanted to smack ALL of them upside the head. Take Merril for instance, loved her character but there were so many times when I just facepalmed myself because of something she did.

Fenris doesn't *hate* you forever in regards to Bethany at all.  I'm sure you're just exaggerating but Fenris actually points out that he thinks Bethany is one of the strongest mages he's ever met.

But Carver's point of view changes slowly in the course of the game. I really enjoy seeing that.

Seb is funny .. and cute if you only romance him. Other than that ... yes, he's sorta boring and too much of chantry boy.

I disliked Fenris, Isabela and Sebastian - They all just seemed pretty boring to me. My favourites were Varric and Anders though I would have prefered if Anders had kept his voice from Awakening, I mean it would have had a far greater impact to hear the same old Anders transform into this brooding serious anti-hero than having this almost separate character appear claiming to be Anders.

I can't stand Merrill or Avaline. I hate how stupid Merrill insists on being and how everytime I try to be nice to her I get rivalry points. As for Avaline, I just want to tell her to !@#$ off whenever she opens her mouth.
I don't really like Anders or Bethany much either, but I don't hate them.

I don't out right HATE any of the characters, but there are some characters I would be fine without. Like Isabella. I didn't like her before the game was even released. She was SO over done. It was all "Here's Isabela. Isabela is a love interest. Here's a scene with Isabela. Here's a screen cap with Isabela." OK, I GET IT. Isabela is in the game. Let's move on. And once I got them game, she still wasn't very interesting. She's a ****-biscuit, really. Some of her dialogue is amusing, but, overall, she is uninteresting. I don't HATE her, exactly, but I don't see much need for her.

Some thing with Sebastian. He was rather uninteresting. His only contribution was his threat to bring the army of Starkhaven against you should you spare Anders. Oh, and that golden conversation between him and Anders about his belt buckle.

Merrill just made me sigh and shake my head. She could be adorable, but when it came to the mirror... *sigh*
