O;
Yeah, this is not the thread for me. Your post is as ignorant as you claim the best DA2 character to be.<_<

Carver was an interesting B*tch
Anders TBH I thought was by far the most interesting character in dragon age 1 or 2
Merrill was really cute
Fenris was just a less important anders, sorta cool
Varric i flip floped alot on, decided he was pretty cool
Isabella, she was funny... thats it though
Aveline, she was ok.. she seemed very real and I like stylized characters

Oh if only I could have romanced Aveline instead. She was just fabulous

I don't hate any of them, but I find Merill is the one I leave out of everything and generally end up ignoring. I just find her a bit grating and not remotely attractive as a romance option (much as I love Eve Myles). But then, I never managed to get through a romance with Lelianna either... apparently I just don't go for "sweet".

Agreed. To quote Donnic, I like a woman with "backbone" even for just a party member. The naive waif wasn't my thing. I just left Merrill in the alienage, to play with sharp things.

Hee~ Some girls just like tough girls. Aveline was definitely 'tough'.
Not everyone can be the rough and tumble type.
I go either way for girly or aggressive.
My most hated companion was Carver.
It was sad to see that he was turning into another Gamblin, could tell that early on; made me sad.
Second most 'hated' if such a word could be truly used, would have been Fenris.
Varric was right on point when he kept teasing him about his brooding, it became old very fast.

I fell in love with her from her first line and first close up. "You will not have him!" [decapitation-slice] <3 RAWR! Gorgeously unique features; soft and feminite while also hard and angular at the same time. Muscled arms. And freckles!
Anyway, I totally agree about Carver. I haven't really worked up much in the way of like or hate for him... he's just *there*. And there's no way to sit him down and give him a good talking to, which is a bit rubbish.
I do have to disagree on Fenris. While at first I found him dull, I found his romance very satisfying and he really came into his own. Positive moments of swooning on my part in Act 3

There! Besides:
I have soft spot for Isabela
I like Aveline (my own guard captain
Fenris... he's ok, and that's pretty much all
I ended up perceving Varric as an "uncle" sort of guy (maybe it's fault of my "cute, sunny, idon'tcarish trublemaker Hawke" yes, she's... adorable)
Merril is even less reasonable then everyone else and that's quiete a feat
And Sebastian... ah, these murderous thoughts...

Aside from Flemeth, I totally agree. I really hope to see more from him.
But that's slightly off-topic for this thread! So.... once again, boo Merill.

Anders is a close second, not because of his choices or his writing, but because there's some combination of the whine in the VA's tone and the expressions Anders makes that give me the urge to stuff him in a barrel and drop him off the nearest cliff.

(And to think I looked at her character design and wrote her off originally! For shame!)

I have to admit I would have liked to LI her as well for the aggressive type. She really seemed devoted and I like that. She was also pretty but not in a girly way, which added to her charm. Girls with muscle can be sexi too!
I think it would have been nice to be able to actually talk to Carver kun, but it seems that he was obedient in following his older nee-san but would could never really get along with her completely. He never felt part of the family and blamed her for Beth chan's death. Made me very sad, as I took the blame for not being able to save her, which he seemed to be shocked that I actually agreed to. I understand his want to look forward, but would have been nice to help him through his troubles so he didn't end up following Gamblin's type.
Fenris I cant say romantically, because I never could get myself to romance him.
Perchance there is something in the romance he shows as opposed to normal.
All I know is the first time I went to his mansion to 'talk' he tried 3 times to get into my panties, not very dashing.

Of course, as I've said before, Bethany was as dull as dishwater and ranks a close second..
I loved Fenris because I identified with his bitterness, I hate to say.. wish I didn't.. don't like that quality in myself.

So i will say... The one i connected with the least was Merrill... I didn't use her much in combat and she wasn't much of a "stand out" character to me, she just seemed to fade into the background.. So...
Not so much hate, more.... I dunno.. Indifference?
