Second playthrough and I friended her so she came back and now I find her entertaining.
So that makes no one. Although I must admit, even though I do love them both I do spend a large amount of time telling my tv to shut up with Anders and Fenris start their moaning or ranting.

i bet my mage warden, chandra amell, who liked the chantry, but hated the templars watching her ALL the time would fry anders herself if she saw that, but with hawke im content with driving him off. IF i could drive him off.

Only good thing about him is I can finally kill him at the end. I wanted to do that since the moment he showed up in Awakenings.

I liked Anders a lot in Awakening. But hated him in DA2, he was not nearly as fun to have in the party and he almost single handedly put the world at war! So yeah he's my most hated.
I liked him in Awakening as well. In DA2 he is just too broody for what he was before. I just find that I'm just not even caring about his character at all. I just plan on killing him everytime. I'd take the preachy bible thumper rogue over the whiney/brooding hate monger of a mage. Fenris is more likeable will still being a broody hate monger. I hate even having Anders out in Act 3 because he never shuts up about mages, templars and the chantry.

Merill. She's just stupid. I don't mean the naive part, I mean the whole stubborn "I can play with blood magic and it's fine and I don't understand why my own clan hates me" part.
This^^
She's like a child who can't get what they want. There is no way I can see her as an LI. She just seems more child than adult.

Yes, her attitude towards blood magic creeps hell out of me. I completely agree with Anders whenever he comments about Merrill in her companion quests. While she says that no spirits are good in the party banter with Anders and she's sorry about that Anders has't known that, she acts like completely ignorant of how making a deal with spirits/demons can be dangerous.tgail73 wrote...

I used to hate Isabella because I found that the dev seem to make her more like a s*** than anything... but she at least has a personality

The only good dialog around him is when others are bashing him, aveline sad it best:
"He's a bit of a ****** your brother isn't he"
If (hawkeclass == Mage)
{
carverInDeepRoads = true;
andersInDeepRoads = false;
}
The way it should be

I managed to do the rivalry and friendship path with him just fine. I even did the friendship path as a mage. Not sure what you're doing wrong.Nixter Shepard wrote...
I don't completely hate him, but Fenris really pisses me off. His character is completely unbalanced and uncomprehensable. Nothing I say or due changes the way he feels. Even when I agree with him I get rivalry points. I wasn't even that pro mage one playthrough and at times agreed that mages needed to be regulated and he still didn't like me. He is definatley the Sten of DA2, but at least you could befriend Sten and when you did you find he's pretty likeable. Fenris Ive given up on (for now atleast).

In my second playthrough I took him along with me and he kills the mage that was caught by the templars - wanted to kill him right then amd it wouldn't let me

The only reason why I showed him some sort of compasion toward the end of the game when he did that monstrous thing is because of his part in helping Bethany become what she is now.
Fenris, he is so close minded and is unwilling to reason. Not only do I feel I have to protect Bethany from Templars but also from this fanatic who I let into the group.
Oh and Carver...I'll stop here before I blow my top.

The whole "lyrium marks/amnesia" thing feels so adamantium/Weapon-X. Totally unoriginal, nothing to see, move along. Ironically, if he was closer to Wolverine (comics version) I might have ended up liking him.
I've completed DAII six times and never felt motivated to explore the character. Also, that whiny music playing when he speaks is rather annoying. It was good to 1shoot him with Assassinate on the last quest. I'd love to have a "Slap Fenris" kind of mod.
Anders is a close second. At least in Awakening he was sort of a jester (gotta agree with Oghren on that). Now he thinks he's holier-than-thou, making NPCs like Sister Petrice look even likeable. Go figure. At least the Murder Knife will be put to good use. Thanks Anders for making me feel guilty every time I side with the Mages.
