I'm not trying to minimize the issues of the other cameos.  Please don't think that.  But what's going on with Zevran is worse than what is going on with Alistair and Leliana.  It's beyond not having the romance acknowledged properly. 

The good news for Leliana fans is Leliana also works fine once her import bugs are fixed (there's a mod out that does that) so when BW fixes the import issue, she'll be working correctly.  What is going on with Zevran will still be broken once the import issue is fixed for everyone.

I use the 360, so I can't fix the Leli bug, I do not get the proper stuff I should be getting so I know what you guys are going threw.  I also didn't mean to sound like a dick either, all I am saying is that really, Leli and Zev fans got screwed in DA2. OOC and broken Leli and broken Zev who is sleeping behind the Warden is stupid and should not have happen.

My LI drove Zevran off when he tried to get with Hawke. I wonder if everyone in Hawke's party realizes he just has a thing for killer elves.

The talktable, btw, is a list of the dialog in the game and their string IDs -- I put some of his lines up that look like they should given if Zevran is romanced by the warden.

And you don't have to go away.  Zevran has so many of these types of bugs in Origins, and now they carry over to what was supposed to be a "dawwwww" moment and made it into something...  different.  

Edit: My take on Zevran's romance: 
The fact that he won't have sex with the warden until they promise they have a future together is one thing -- sex does become an expression of love for him.  The US epilogue states it as well (though there has been disagreement whether it means he never touches anyone again -- though the wording is fairly clear really -- and the dialog that isn't triggering confirms it).  While it is never actually SAID, "We won't have sex with anyone else," the commitment there is clear, and deciding it means an open relationship is not anywhere in the game.  Many many people feel that a commitment does include sex, and nothing there indicates that there's an open relatonship between Zevran and the warden.

This is why I want bioware to fix it.  Origins had so many bugs that were only fixable via mod (which I spent hundreds of hours working on, seriously).  This hopefully will be repaired, both the import issue AND the dialog issue with Zevran, because honestly, watching your Origin's LI cheat on your warden does stink.

Those were posted while I was writing and I didn't see them.
That is pretty clear. I want those lines. Like now.

See, I agree. If they had intended Zevran to be like that if romanced, it would be one thing (it would suck, but yeh, ok, I'd deal). However, knowing that they acknowledged the romance in a meaningful way yet it all is out because of bugs is grrrr! I just hope they fix it.

This really should have been a priority at BioWare. I am extremely disappointed, and I was hoping that the mod would fix it.

How could they let this happen? Importing Origins saves and story continuation was a huge draw for lots of people.

Yeah. I've got two Hawkes sitting there in Act 3 with only the final quest of the game and the "Faith" quest Leliana makes her cameo in just waiting for a patch to come out that will (hopefully) fix this.

Edit: Not to sound like a dick, but how could huge things like this get by Bioware? It reminds me of the issues Witch Hunt had when it first came out. It's like they sat there and said "Hey do you think we should test if the Origins romances import correctly if you're using an Awakening or WH save?" to the answer of "Nah. I'm sure it works fine. Don't worry about it.."

Adding my voice to the pleas to get this thing fixed. I didn't even know it was bugged when I played, I thought they had simply scripted my romanced Zev as a cheating jerk whose promises to the warden meant nothing.

While it won't fix the dialogue, one thing to do is simply not bring Isabela with you on that quest.  And I noticed if you don't pick any flirt options when Hawke first meets him after fighting the varterral, he will not offer to sleep with Hawke later on.  So it's not perfect, but there are ways we can work around it if BW never fixes it.

Except you still don't get the lines acknowledging the romance :/  And if they fix the import bugs (and I believe they will fix those), there will be a new issue -- that Zevran's few romance lines that trigger will be the ones for a dead warden, even if that warden is alive.  That's what happens now using the mod that fixes the import flags.  You don't have to flirt to get one of his mourning lines :/

Honestly, I wouldn't count on BioWare fixing this. After all, the same types of fixes had to be done by the community for Origins. EA's motto seems to be the same as P.T. Barnum's.

I've had a love/hate relationship with this game from the start, and I think I'm done with it. Just like I'm done with Warhammer. It's no coincidence that they are made by the same people.

At least it isn't only Zev getting screwed up this time. I've seen a couple of people who had a romanced Alistair with the US ending (left him at the gates not modded), who were informed that king Alistair is apparently happily married to a corpse even with the mod. >.<

Please, BW, fix the cameos. I just want my Zev fix.

Damn, why would I want to flirt with an elf that looks like that O_o, he looks cool in Origins; but in DA2 you should feel sorry for your Warden XD.

I'm glad that I found this thread before I got to the Zevran in my Zev-romanced import run, else I would have been a lot more disappointed. :/ I really do hope BioWare (or a dedicated modder) fixes this particular import bug when they release the next patch. A lot of people look forward to having their choices recognized.

If it were meant to be that way, that's one thing, but as I put on page 1 of this thread, many lines in the talktable indicate differently (I posted quite a few of those lines).  This is a bug, and the cameo is obviously going far differently for people who romanced Zevran than intended.  Instead of getting that acknowledgement (which none of the love interests are getting), you are getting Zevran having sex with Isabela and/or Hawke.

If an updated toolset is released, I will fix it (as I did with many bugs in Origins).  But so far there's not a toolset, and that does not help people on consoles.

Edit: But I will admit, the way the cameo is now definitely gives the impression that yes, Zevran didn't love the warden as much as people who romanced him thought.  Which is what is wrong with it!  It's supposed to be a "awwww" moment, not a "bastard" moment.

Yeah, it's the impression of Zevran again that is ruined. . And it stinks because this what not the way it was intended.

Moreover, from a romanced Zevran, we have even some interesting informations about the Warden. We know that they are still in contact, we know that he returns to him/her. I think it adds some insight to the condition of our disappeared Warden too. And, since Zev knows the Champion and even fights with him in the last battle, we can even assume the Warden knows what's happening in Kirkwall and maybe he will meet the Champion. We don't know why Zev was in Kirkwall, for as much as we know he could be there exactly on a sort of "spy-mission" for the Warden that has to remain hidden(or if dead, maybe Alistair). The Warden could know even from Nathaniel or King Alistair, sure, but I think that not everyone got all the cameos. So even in the overalll storytelling, I think that fixing Zev cameo has its importance.

I'm mostly an ali girl but i would be really upset as ejoslin said. then again it looks like alistair didn't get the same kind of cute and fuzzy lines that zevran did. i can only imagine how much more i'd be upset if he actually said something swoon worthy and i wasnt able to access it.

Well, actually... do you mean lines like this? (I believe Gray Warden Alistair says this -- alive or dead warden).
