I'm mostly an ali girl but i would be really upset as ejoslin said. then again it looks like alistair didn't get the same kind of cute and fuzzy lines that zevran did. i can only imagine how much more i'd be upset if he actually said something swoon worthy and i wasnt able to access it.

Well, actually... do you mean lines like this? (I believe Gray Warden Alistair says this -- alive or dead warden).

Yes. He talks about his cheekbones in the dialogue, but from what I could tell, it looks like they forgot to put them in!

Even the guide says Zevran wouldn't flirt with Hawke and/or Isabela if a saved game in which the Warden had romanced him would be imported, and when I read that didn't happen, I hoped it was a bug, because my only and canon DAO playthrough had a romanced Zevran in it and I always thought he was the most interesting LI. Honestly, I would have prefered no cameo at all than a cameo in which he ignores the Warden.

Of course this goes to all DAO love interests. I guess you wouldn't have included them if you didn't intend them to aknowledge their romances, so I think you definitely should address this problem in your very first patch. For all plataforms, pretty please... some of us don't play in PC so we can't even use mods to solve it.

I agree, no cameo would have been better than a cameo where Zevran is just sexing everyone he can :/

But of course they were meant to be acknowledged.  There's even gossip about a King CousCous with Zevran and King Alistair with a lover.  Gray Warden Alistair is supposed to talk about the love of his life when giving the warden's oath.  Leliana is supposed to talk about the warden as well.

They have all these great dialogs that were supposed to make the Origins player feel all warm and fuzzy.  I think Zevran's is worse than Alistair's and Leliana's because you have Zevran having sex with Hawke and/or Isabela.  That gives the absolutely worst case scenario with his cameo.

I'm confused that Zevran DIDN'T offer me sex. Is this part of the bug? I loaded a Queen of Ferelden import so it's not like he was in love with my Warden. I wanted him to flirt with me and get a jealous reaction from my LI but even though I grabbed all the flirt lines and the sarcastic comments he didn't really flirt back. He just went off with Isabela in the end.

No, if you have Isabela in your party, he'll have sex wtih her before sex with your Hawke (he goes for the sure thing I guess).

The point is, he's not supposed to be having sex wtih ANYONE (there are several Zevran refusal lines in the talktable) if he's romanced by the warden (whether the warden is alive or dead).  It's only because there's the import bug and most likely a few dialog bugs on top of that that he is :/

Edit: As an aside, Zevran was head over heels with my Queen of Ferelden

I agree. This is a bug and should be fixed. Players who romanced Zevran and imported their save are getting the incorrect dialogue for Zevran in DA2. I love Dragon Age 2, don't get me wrong, but this is one bug that I really want to see fixed.

I just encountered him, without Isabela in the party because... well, let's just say that she's somewhere enjoying a tedious tome about Qunari beliefs she never cared to give back to me. Anyway, I didn't pick up any of the flirt lines - I could'nt bring myself to do it - and the only tiny mention of the Warden I got was Zev saying that Hawke reminded him of a "very dear friend." In the end, after defeating Nuncio, he said that he had a war to wage and he took of.

I'm seriously disappointed! Seriously! I really hope they fix it as soon as possible, because I'm thinking of reloading back and postponing this quest until the very end, hoping for a fix of any kind!

I take it you patched it.  The "very dear friend" is a mourning dialog, and it's the only one you'll get unless Isabela is with you.  It made me so sad to hear it

This is why I think there are dialog bugs on top of the import bugs.  Even with the romance flags in there, the wrong dialogs are still triggering.

How nice: everyone getting the same bug, everyone complaining and The Powers That Be remain utterly silent. Just how we're used to it! If only they would release a toolset!

Anyway, checking again the world status just to be sure that at least the fix worked (it did), I noticed that the import feature also says that Anders died at Vigil's Keep, despite surviving and remaining with the Wardens etc. etc. Do anyone else have this incorrect flag?

Also, Leliala still slept with Isabela at The Pearl. Never trust a bard.

Yeh, if you had Isabela then you'd get to hear about how his loss is too fresh (you will get the dead warden dialog regardless of your warden's continued life). If Isabela isn't with you and you had flirted, he'll still get with Hawke. So yeh, all incorrect dialogs.

Edit: And he responds to the flirting no matter what as well.  Since there are rejections in the talktable that seem to go to hawke, I can only assume that is incorrect as well.

Please fix this! It drives me crazy how many amazing lines were meant to be in the game but just didn't make it. This is almost as bad as not being able to access Zevran's romantic dialogue at the Denerim gates in DAO.
Make the fan disservice back into fan service!

I'd be happy for a "We're working on it! Please be patient," but alas I don't think we'll hear a thing from them. In some other thread, Ferret - if I'm not mistaken - said that a new patch is in the working, but who knows how long it will take or if it will even address this issue or not.

An unoffical 'fix' has been released on the bioware social network. It's a fanmade mod. Though I can't remember who exactly made it.

It doesn't fix Zevran's dialog issues.  As I've said before, I used the mod that fixes the import issues, and his dialog is STILL bugged.

Edit: With the import romance flag fixed, this is what is wrong:

1. Zevran's dialog assumes the warden is dead, even if the warden is alive, and gives a mourning line in the first conversation and will reject Isabela for sex in the second one because it's still too soon (and this dialog is horribly heartbreaking).
2. Zevran will still respond to Hawke's flirting in the first conversation though there are rejection lines in the talktable
3. Zevran will still proposition Hawke if there was flirting in the first conversation.

I'm mostly a Zevran partisan, but I like Alistair a lot too and omgawwwwwwwwwwwsosaaaaaad. Er, assuming that's what he says when your Warden is dead. Dead!

So um, yeah. ALL the LI stuff needs to be fixed, but I agree that the Zevran bug is most depressing, as it's not just as if you never had a thing. I can, for example, just pretend Leliana doesn't feel the need to be all "omg the Warden was so dreamy! :wub:" to a bunch of strangers. Actively cheating on your Warden, though, that sucks. A lot.

Add my name to the list of pleaders. It's like EA just decided that nobody cares about Zevran. Which I don't doubt they did decide. And I get a bad, uncomfortable feeling that it's only because he made straight male homophobes get their briefs in a twist.

While that's possible, there ARE wonderful lines that are in the game but that are being kept out by bugs.  So they were written and recorded, but gah, bugged  Some of Zevran's best lines were kept out of DAO because of bugs; since there are much fewer in DA2, hopefully they can fix those.

As far as the straight male homophobes complaining about ending up in the tent accidently, heh, DA2 has proven that even a icon is not enough of a clue as far as romances starting.  Someone is always going to complain :/

This way, perhaps, if we can gather more posters, they will be more inclined to hear us out and provide a much needed fix for this issue!

Done.  I still think Zevran is the worst, but they all should be fixed!

Yes, they're all messed up.  The Alistair lines I quoted were from a Gray Warden Alistair when you get the Warden's Oath necklace (I believe).

Also, there are lines if you're his mistress.  His wife line is triggering properly, but that's because it is not romance related (my political marriage queen Cousland got that line in an unmodded game).  Leliana most definitely doesn't give her proper lines.

Zevran's is the worst because you have him cheating on the warden.  There are severe issues with the imports -- but Zevran's problems most likely go beyond these to dialog bugs as fixing the import flags leads to different bugs.

I was happy to see our old friends Alistair, Leliana, and Zevran. I think Bioware did a great job with their cameos, but the problem is that they aren't working as they were designed to. lol

I hope the next patch Bioware puts out fixes their cameos. Glitches and bugs are about the only thing I can complain about with DA2. I really love the series, so I'm looking foward to having some patches lol

For Alistair warden the lines are different, I got them in a playthrough last night.. Yes, only with the fan mod fix you don't get the Warden's pendant. you get the pendant The Sacred Heart instead. I really hope they fix the romance import issues because even with the mod with GW Alistair he is saying both the romance lines and the friend lines overlapping.
I'm hoping they fix this soon, because I don't want to import my CE playthorugh that romanced Zevran until this is fixed:(
