I never had that option. She confessed her love during the last Questioning Beliefs quest, and yet then went to sleep with him. I was SO SUPER PISSED. I went to Merril instead.

Programming issues I suppose. I will replay and I will never bring her to the Murder of Crows again.

I've hit the same problem on my second playthrough, except that I haven't done anything different from the first time around, and yet I just didn't get the dialogue option this time.

I did sleep with Merrill with starting a relationship during Act 2, so all I can think is that the timing was different and something screwed up.

Probably another bug like the one in the epilogue where the game thinks your LI is the first person you slept with. Don't sleep with Merrill, romance Isabela till the point where she confesses her love and give her all the presents an Bela should remain "faithful" to you Posted Image

Are you sure it was a bug? Isabela, in line with her overly promiscuous and degenerate self, will see absolutely nothing wrong with having sex with someone else(zevran) in front of you even if she has confessed her love and you two are an "item" unless you explicitly tell her not to.
Did you reload and try the other convo options? First one I chose was "not interested" or something and Isabela went off with him despite being in a romance (I did not see that coming). Another option ("what about me?" or something) yielded a "you can come too" response. The third one was "I dont want you to do this" or something to that effect.

I was seriously pissed! She didnt go with him because i wouldnt have any of it but i wanted the option to really have a go at her for trying something like that... Who tf would act so diplomatic as Hawke does in this situation?

This is why it's a good idea to use the "Murder Knife" on Zevran. "Them elves be stealing our women..." *spits*

If you romance Isabela you should be prepared for something like that. Posted Image

I don't get it. I flirted with Zevran. I have Merril and Isabela both in my party. Then he just leaves--he doesn't proposition me, and Isabela doesn't proposition him.  When I asked how they knew each other, Zevran says, "How does ANYone know Isabela?" and she got annoyed and said, "Yes, well, you'll never know Isabela again if you keep that up." In fact, her response when I asked her what to do with him was, "I've had better." She wasn't interested! And Merril had no comment either, despite my flirting.  I thought the person you romanced was supposed to get jealous?

Currently Merril is living in my house. I slept with Isabela too, but didn't end her romance. I even furthered it by telling her the thing with Merril was "nothing". Did my choices affect the whole scene? I heard that an imported save can affect things too. I DID import a save from Origins, but I didn't romance Zevran there (which is apparently what makes a difference), and the Warden is still alive. What gives?

EDIT:  Repeated the conversation three times.  (I have a save right after the fight)  I keep getting the same result, no matter what I do.  Is it that Isabela has become "exclusive" for me like you guys have been talking about?

While some folks have successfully told Merrill it was just a fling and continued romancing somebody else, the majority of people who do so end up with no romances at all. Sebastian, Fenris and Isabela are very guarded with their emotions. Anders and Merrill are romance-destroying juggernauts. If you sleep with either of them, chances are EXTREMELY high that you'll break any existing romance you have even if you tell them it meant nothing (intended behavior, according to Mary Kirby). If you don't say that it meant nothing after sex, (i.e. you ask one of the juggernauts to move in), you will be guaranteed to end your romance with anyone else.

Most common questions regarding Isabela romance (this one included) are answered in my Isabela FAQ, linked in my sig.

Oh, with regards to Zevran and Isabela, they don't go away for sexy time after the Varterral cave. They go away for sexy time after you go report back to Nuncio.

Ah, thank you! I was really confused. I'll check out your FAQ. Honestly, if I had to choose between Merril and Isabela, I'd go with Merril. That's why I had her move into my house after all.
