Eh, I'm still a fan of BioWare... just not of DA2... If this becomes the quality we can expect from here on, then I'll hate BioWare. For now, it's just one game.

Better to just pretend it was all the whiskey fueled hallucination of some highlighy intoxicated Grey Warden with an apparent fetish for dudes.
Just reboot the whole mess.
Yes, no?
Not gonna happen. What's done is done, and there are people who like it.
At best, they will let us import from DA:O to DA3 with "default" choices from DA2, or summarize DA2 like how the PS3 version of ME2 summarized ME1.

this game should have been a spin-off title instead

My main issue is that we're now 10 years on - I don't want Morrigan to be like 40 =[ and Leliana to be much older as well... Putting +10 years on all the companions is a blow to any hope of seeing them in a large role in any future DA game
I'd like to think it was all made up by Varrick or at least was massively exaggerated. But that doesn't remove the time frame thing =[

As for my answer to your question, no. I just want them to take more time with Dragon Age III and concentrate on making it a dark epic, like it is supposed to be. Concentrate on making a nice variety of environments that are awe inspiring and have an epic vibe. Put some of the meat back in, like being able to kit out your party members with gear. Put in more party interaction and focus on building the relationships more. In short, finish the game and put the 'epic' back in while your at it.

Strike this mess from canon (or demote it to a sidestory, as it should have been from the beginning) and make a proper sequel, I say.
DA2 was a proper sequel, according to the definition of sequel.
Learn what words mean before you sling them around.
DA2 was a sequel by deffinition but not a propper one by definition of propper.....with 2 ps
Words cannot be slung.

The only complaints I have about this game is the bugs and the reused scenes. I can't defend the bugs, but considering how almost every sidequest now has it's own plot twist, I can easily overlook the former. Personally I thought the sidequests was so good that I always finished all of them before moving on.
Slaying an Archdemon was really cool and all, but that weighs fairly lightly comparing to the family interaction and the ending in this one.
Honestly though, you haters disgust me. Bioware is, and has always been, a pioneer within RPG's. I for one do not want to play the same game all over again like so many other developers do.

You call us 'dumb' for our opinion, yet Metacritic, which has averaged over 50 critic reviews, puts DA2 vastly inferior to DAO, and in fact is the lowest rated Bioware game ever made, other than that little Sonic handheld a while back. Also, the user ratings on pretty much every website are really really low...

Then they loose once and everyone goes "I WANT YOUR HEAD ON A PIKE YOU GUYS SUXX OMG OMG OMG I HATE YOU".
Yes, I think it's dumb. I think it's downright retarded to expect a developer, who tries to break new ground, to always succeed. I think it's dumb to bash them to the point that it's no longer criticism, and it just goes to the point where it's complaining for the sake of complaining. I think it's dumb to be clouded with disappointment to the degree that you can't even see the good pieces, let alone admit them. And finally, I think it's dumb to even continue at this point. What do you even seek to accomplish? You didn't like the game, fine, but CAN YOU PLEASE STOP SPAMMING THIS FORUM? We GET IT. But thankfully, some people appreciate this game and if you're not one of them, and can't even offer constructive criticism, then get out of here.
EDIT: To clearify: I do not think you're dumb for not liking the game; I think you're dumb (midly speaking) because how you "express" it.

Whilst I'm not going to call anyone dumb simply for having a different opinion than myself, I don't buy games on the basis of what someone else thinks. Reviews don't influence what I do and don't play. I've got plenty of games over the years that have been scored low by the critics but have turned out to be exactly what I wanted.
In the end, there is no right or wrong in these debate, its all about opinion. Some people love the game, others don't. No-one should be shouted down for having their own view about the game.
As for user reviews, these are less reliable than critic reviews to me. All it takes is a concerted effort by a few individuals and they can make or break the score of game. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those than voted DA2 negatively hadn't even played the game but were simply going on hearsay.

Holy hyperbole. Vastly? Vastly? 5-6 points is vast? What bizzare fanboy world do we live in now? And suddenly critics are the be all end all of gauging a games quality? If it didn't reuse teh same dungeons, the most harped about thing in the reviews, it would have a similar metascore. Except the PC version. They'd be be butthurt over the fact that game was made more friendly to console users no matter what. I find DA2 vastly superior in just about everyway to DAO. And that's not hyperbole, just my opinion.

My vote is that this thread be retconned so that it never existed, but that could just be me. I'm much more interested in the future of Thedas after the events of DA2.
Well the future of Thedas after DA2... well that might be a little farmer Girl without any abilitys, skills and might kills 10000 Darkspawn with an Eyeblink.. What else could top the Great DA2 Story?
And she has to be naked to top Isabella...
So you only got one Button to klick "Eyeblink" but let me asure you. If you press that button something Awesome is going to happen! Always! Isnt that great?
After playing DA2 i realized what whimp the Grey Warden in DA:O was. He needs an Army to defend Ferelden. Pfffft... The Hawke would have one-hit all the mobs and Killed the Arch Demon easy alone wile Isabella is shaving his Beard.

I respectfully disagree
and I think you should accept the game for what it is, the next game in the Dragon Age storyline
How would you feel if people went around wanting people to sign a petition to get you banned or something? Not very nice at all.
I shouldn't have to accept jack sh*t, I payed MY money for the game.
