I shouldn't have to accept jack sh*t, I payed MY money for the game.

Did some EA-Hitman stand behind you and forced you with a gun to buy the game ?
Seriously, it is still Bioware´s game, the idea of the writers etc. we only  "own" a copy.
If one does not like the game, bad luck, but why do those people go on ranting the game over and over.

Well, yes DA2 isn´t a carbon copy of origins. It isn´t ripped off of Lord of the rings like any other "epic" tale.
But that is what makes DA2 better in my opinion.

DA lore was broken several times not only by gameplay mechanics(teleport, duh), but by story elements(Ask Aveline about her 'husband', he's a damn templar, aren't they supposed to NOT having families-let's see, Alistair, Cullen and nameless templar from mage tower confirms that). Coupled with visual changes, like new elven, darkspawn and qunari look, templars that look at you casting magic and stuff while picking their noses, even in dialogues. I could've pointed more, but i stopped caring about DA2 story after mid-act1. Such a shame.

Hopefully when you will move out of your mother's basement and meet real people in the real world and expand the horizons of your pathetic little life, you will change your tune.

Because if you think that the characters in DA2 are in any way shape or form representative of how real people act or if you think that real people are as one dimensional and erratic as the DA2 companions, then Maker have mercy on your soul, 'coz the real world will not.

I have no problems behaving friendly, nor navigating myself in the oh so scary real world. I do believe however that if someone or some people behave like like 10 year old brats, they do not deserve to be treated in a friendly manner.

By no means do I think that DA II's character represent how real people act. But if I in real people had been a tortured slave or had a demon inside me I can by no means assure you that I would behave perfectly normal and rational. Think the scenario is absurd? It is, but it's also a game that we're talking about in the first place.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Completely re-designed races, characters, etc. the whole thing is just making fun of the Dragon Age lore while getting drunk to stupidity

I can't understand why people are wanting it retconed because of the option of homosexual romance, rather than the flaws in the game and it's implications on the history and lore. How petty and homophobic.

tl;dr
If you don't like buttsex, don't have buttsex. Just because it's an option for those who want it does not mean it is one you must choose.

I wonder what great story the peoples talking about.

The "get 50 Suvereigns!" part?
Or the "no matther what you do the Qunari attack for no reason" part?
Or the "We cant talk about the Subjekt and we will die all" part?

besides the story dont even make sence. A Farmerboy from a small village kills 10000 Darkspawn (without genloks), Dragons (arent they supposed to be rare?) Demons (They made the wrong ones stronger lore wise), Humans (wow they got alot free space in Kirkwall fpr Fereldeners after you killed more Humans as the City has population), and bloodmages on every Corner (How did the Mage circle managed it if every mage you meet turns into a Bloodmage?)
So Why? Why can he do all that? Is there a reason behind it? If every Village boy can do that why they need an Army? Or Templers or Grey wardens? Even His little Brother Carver can kill 100 creeps with an cloth shirt on as a warrior.. I wonder if he laugh at every Soldier with an Armor on. "Lol you noobs you need an armor! You just need to one hit them so they are no harm to you! " :)

The Peoples you got in a group.. Fenris hates every mage. Even if Anders heals him 1000 times and safed his ass 1000 times he still hates him. If you are a mage yourselve he can be the best buddy and even get a romance with him but if you spare a helpless, harmless, mage who did never anything wrong he freaks out.. yeah makes sence..

Anders is the same just the opposite.

And Isabella .. well maybe thats a, little boys wet dream. A Girl with big boobs and no pants want to jump in your bed after you say 3 words to her.. But thats the unrealistic Group member Bioware ever made... i dont even get startet about the "armor" she is going to join the fight... If i would be 12 years old.. i might like that kind of Charakters.. well no i think i would already think im to old for that crap at 12 :)

It is a great story if you don't just see it as a list of quests that need to be done. If you look deeper than that, you'll see why Hawke has to do some of these quests.

The overriding arc of Act 1 is to ensure your family is safe and secure by providing for them financially. Thats the point of the 50 Sovereigns quest. Gaining wealth can restore the family and would also protect the apostate (you or your sister) from prying eyes.

The Qunari story deals with prejudice and extremism. The Qunari have done little to antagonise people but are still hated by some simply for being. It shows the lengths people go to in the name of their beliefs. The Qun attack because their society demands it. One of their number was slain by fanatics. Revenge is reason enough. . When someone is consumed with revenge and devout to doctrine, I'd imagine its pretty hard to talk them out of it.

Not to mention they see Kirkwall and its inhabitants as a stagnant mess without order.Perhaps another reason for the attack is to install their order.

The Mage/Templar situation was tense to begin with. Throughout the years, it had simmered until it reaches boling point. Both sides have been polarised and all that is needed is a catalyst. When that is provided, anger makes any type of control extremely difficult.

How is this story any less believable than a human/dwarf/elf who drinks a magic potion and can do all the same things as well as save a nation and overthrow a tyrant???

As for the characters, I think they are as believable as those from Origins. Merrill is the epitomy of looks can be deceiving. Isabela is a pirate skank and thats how she behaves. Fenris has been enslaved for mages almost his entire life so is bound to carry resentment against them (stereotyping). Anders has been blinded and corrupted by his merging with Justice.

Origins, almost everyone was as they appears (Leliana being the exception). There is no surprise or hidden element to any of them. They are as seen.

Thats not to say I dislike the characters from Origins, quite the opposite in fact. I was delighted with the cameos in the second game. But because the companions in the second game are different, doesnt make them superior or inferior.

Agreed. They broke their lore so much - the fugly elves that actually are supposed to be highly attractive to humans, the Templars that are allowed to marry (Seriously. Don't call them Templars in that case. Templars are per definition Knights who are also monks!), teleporting mages, Darkspawn that can turn a landscape into something resembling a place after 20 years of nuclear winter within hours, blood-mages that automatically turn into Abominations...

I could go on.

To me it never happened, and it gets ignored in every fanfic I write.

Yeah. DA 2 would have done better as a book. We could have just skipped on to the interesting part, in which the ending refers to.
