I went through DAO to completion twice, and then just played the rest of the Origins stories until Ostagar. I played through all of the DLC once.
I've on my second playthrough of DA2 now. I can see myself playing it more often because a) it's shorter, and
there are fewer tediously long dungeons.

I played through Origins (start to finish) 4 or 5 times, I started probably 10 characters.
I probably won't be playing DA2 ever again in a month or so.

I've replayed Origins more times then I can count. xD
Mainly due to changing physical features or to see how picking diff choices in each conversation can take dramatic turns. Played through dragon age 2 once, and once was enough I think. ^^' Just felt a sense of dread doing it over again. D:
I miss Oghren :3

Full playthrough of DAO, about 5. However I lose count of how many partial playthroughs. Dozens maybe. I love to create new characters and get them through the early parts of the game.
DA2 is good for one replay maybe. Just to try out a different class, gender, and to choose mostly the funny dialogues instead of the saintly ones as i have been doing. I don't think I can take too much of the repetitive scenery (dungeons all the same with ivy on the floor and repetitive rooms, all outdoor missions occur in the Lost Coast, etc.)
Not to speak of course of the same already old complaints about the combat style, interface, etc.

I played DAO once with each Race, and enjoyed it (with breaks between).
I can't even finish DA2 once, I've lost interest at act three (tried Warrior and Mage).

Well having finished DA2 I can say there is no real reason to play it a second time. Unless you really love the combat but I hated every torturous second of it so once is more than enough for me.
I played Origins to death though, that was a really great game.
This is how all of my friends feel, I took my time with DAO but with DA2 I rushed through like BIOWARE did and now it will collect dust or be traded in for something worth playing over again. The best things of DAO were snatched away and they left us with nothing to strive for no major purpose just a bunch of sad memories, and the same areas over and over again.. Ugh I was greatly dissapointed.

Ive started maybe..... 12 characters for DA:O. Played 6 to completion, others are in varying states or save files got corrupted and had to delete the character. Each playthrough I discover new things, new codex entries, new little party banters I may have missed, etc etc. I love the story, I love the characters - I could play forever (especially once I get a good PC and can get mods
!!!))
I've got 2 DA2 playthroughs, to experience a mage perspective and a warrior perspective. I'm done until patches are made, quality DLC is released that expands on the three years of the game we were promised that never happened (you can't advertise a decade long saga when the game ends at year 7, Bioware >.<) and I need a final import for a DA3 that drops half of the BS in DA2.

da:o because there are so many different things that can happen and 6 different origin stories. it takes multiple playthroughs to figure out what decisions you want to be your canon. once that happens though it gets old. in da:a it's fun to be so beastly but that gets boring after 1-2 playthroughs. da2's side missions are a struggle to get through even if you've never played them.
i know this wasn't asked, but to maximize replayability, i think they should decide on a combat system instead of a god of war/da:o hybrid and have more classes, or at least have more variation within classes. i want dragon age to draw from the destiny trailer for combat. i want fewer, tougher, enemies instead of legions of mindless enemies that die in one or two hits. maybe they could draw from assassin's creed in terms of flashiness and combat speed. it'd be cool the have deflections and counters and such.
keep all the rpg features, bring back skills, especially stuff like persuasion, keep micromanaging during battle like position, keep tactics, etc. but just let me feel like i'm playing as hawke from the destiny trailer and couple it with bioware-wasn't-forced-to-rush-this-out-the-door-by-EA quality in terms or story, decisions, and character development and it will be incredibly fun to replay.

I plan to replay through Origins one more time for the perfect upload for DA2 playthroughs. But Ive only currently completed it 2 times.
DA2 working on my second than i might beat it again as a warrior. Than i plan to beat DA2 again as a Rogue with that save being the one i use for DA3 whenever that happens.
1st playthrough was a Rogue Archer
2nd playthrough is a Mage
3rd will be a Warrior, but might be the Rogue if i decide to beat Origins first after my 2nd playthrough.

DA:O Full replay 4 (ie. Origins + Awa + Golems + Witch Hunt) and then like 3 more half replays (Origins or Origins + Awa)
DA2 - 1 replay and planning on second after some mods are released

Origins: Twice, but that doesn't count the number of times I created a new playthrough, grew bored, and eventually deleted the character when I came back to the game and didn't want to resume in the middle of the game.
I really hate Orzammar. It's so tedious that I have to force myself through it, and that really kills my interest in playing through Origins.
DA2: Once thus far, and on my second.

I feel I’ll be echoing what others have said. I completed Dragon Age Origins four times each character I’ve taken through Awakening & the Golems of Amgorak expansion plus Witch Hunt. It remains one of the only games I’ve ever actually bothered to unlock all achievements, for me it ticked nearly all the boxes for what I wanted in a Fantasy RPG.
I’m currently on my second run of Dragon Age 2, the chat wheel makes replay-ability for those who didn’t dislike the game an option, alongside those who had the option of importing save decisions such as myself from their Warden Origins campaign. Yet I’m feeling the burn already, the reused maps is making it hard to enjoy, I think the game can be helped by the Modding community (on the PC), I’m going to call it after this completion, wait for a possible Awakening style expansion and hope for the best.
I certainly can’t see myself playing DA2 four times like the Origins, unless you’re able to see past the reusable map grind aspects (some gamers can do it) DA2 doesn’t even come close to Origins in terms of replayability.

Hmmm...
When DAO came out, I replayed it a lot. Around 5 to 6 times. I always found the speed of battle sufficient, because I simply hadn't seen any faster combat.
Currently replaying DA2 for the second time. I went back to DAO in order to make a new import for DA2, but after having played DA2, I found DAO's combat a bit too slow.
I do think, however, that DA2 could use more variety.

DA:O - 5 playthroughs.
DA2 - 1.5 so far.
DA2 is fun, but the choices you make do not really provide replayability.

The different origin and vastly diverging plot points of DA:O mean that it's almost certainly going to have a higher replay value. I know that I certainly don't feel the same urge to replay DA2 that I did to replay DA:O.
However, considering the enormous depth offered by the party characters in DA2, I know I certainly will wind up replaying. The settings in DA:O were clearly superior to DA2. However, DA2's characters are certainly more impressive from my point of view.
Now, before I get crucified in a public forum for that statement, I suppose I ought to lay out my reasons for saying so. The main reason is that Hawke's reactions to various situations and conversations are more believable than many of the DA:O choices, which masterfully affected the game world, but often required characters to say puzzling things--such as the time my mage that had fought for independence from the Circle was for some reason only able to either blindly acknowledge the wisdom of the Qun to Sten or to blather platitudes about the Chantry to him. In DA2, I feel that even in situations where fewer responses are available than were in DA:O, the majority of them are more reasonable things for a human being to be saying. Furthermore, having a main character with a full VO simply adds to the believability of PC interactions, although I will say that there is something to be said for using your imagination when imagining the Warden speak.
The second reason I believe that I like the DA2 party members more is that they each have more clearly defined goals and aspirations than the characters in DA:O did. To be fair, this was because DA:O characters were used as reflections of ideals or peoples that Bioware was using to introduce the new world they had created--but that doesn't diminish the fact that the DA2 characters just feel more real.

Played DA:O through fully about 7-10 times. All as Dwarves.
I've started DA2 over again now I've completed for want of anything better to do, but after this playthrough, like ME2, never again.

Origins: Finished the game with four different characters.
DA2: Finished only once as a mage. Waiting for a more stable version (patch?) to play a less buggy walkthrough. It doesn't look that intriguing after beating it once though.
