v0.97 is done:
* Tweak down bonus properties of many items. (It won't affect an already existing save using previous version of the addin)
* 2 new items:
Emerald Blade & Emerald Sword

Yes they are custom models made by Jojjo ( why I named the items after him), originally made for DAO, and before that for Oblivion, but i disgress
To make DA2 meshes, just do like you would normally do for DAO. The meshes are compatible.
The only difference is you have to create manually the MAO files which use GFF format in DA2 instead of XML.
To do so, it's easy, just open one of the existing DA2 MAO - with a GFF Editor obviously - corresponding to the type of mesh you are doing, and modify it to match the properties from your own MAO XML.
(at least that worked for the items)
So... can people mess around with the DAII meshes then? Or only add new ones?

I don't know, I did not created the models, I just converted them from DAO to DA2 using the MAO XML to MAO GFF manual conversion I explained just before.
So it shows DA2 engine will load DAO meshes.
But I have not checked if, beyond the MAO file format difference, the rest of DA2 meshes files are compatible with DAO import/export tools.
I guess you could try taking one DA2 meshes, convert the MAO GFF to XML and try to open with some DAO modeling import/export tool to see if it works.

Excellent job all round.

EDIT: But seriously, this is awesome work. I think you might be one of the first to get DAO meshes working in DA2 - you should write up a tutorial or something as a resource, because this could open up a lot of opportunities that people might otherwise have thought they'd need a toolset update for.

Well weapons are the easy parts (and I've already explained how to do it in this topic). I have not really looked into it. but I don't know if you can do hero playable armor parts (male & female) yet without the a DA2 toolset , or at least a software to create ERF V3.0 file, such as the official DA2 ErfGenerator.exe

is it possible to do my request? it's the sword that looks like the 1h vigilence from awakenings iirc lsw_ls09 i think?
I'm not gonna add custom item requests into the addin or it may become a bloated mod
However once I got again some time to mess with Dragon Age modding, I may create your weapon UTI and GDA file so you can just spawn it in your game using one of the "spawnitem" script floating around this forum.

Sooo... Who's the mysterious person that mysteriously gives Hawke the mysterious gifts for mysterious reasons...?
*Ninja stare*
EDIT:
You should add a staff with the scythe model/mesh from Exotic's DA:O mod, "Reaper".
Because it was (at least to me) such a let down when I bought the staff "The Magister's Scythe" and found out it was actually an ugly halberd... D:

Well it's not normally possible with the mod. You can always use pyGFF editor to edit your savegame and duplicate any item you like if you are so desperate
