Ooo thanks for this, I`m of the "not a scratch"-mentality (reinforced through the buggy BGII romance scripts) so instantly reload if anyone falls so have missed out on a lot of these.
Varric also has the "Why is noone ever just happy to see us?!" and "Grab something sharp and pointy, we`ve got company!"upon entering combat.

Does Fenris say anything? He's silent in all my battles...Well except that RAAAAAAGGGHH! XD
Not a party battle cry, but I heard one of the mercenaries shout, " Andraste's ******! They got me!"
Granted, I never laughed so hard.

I thought I heard Merrill say something on her initial Sundermount quest once, something like, "Hi, I'm Merrill, I'll be killing you today." Something she never says again as a companion, apparently.

Yes, he talks in battle too. He just does it so quietly I can't hear him unless I crank down the volume way down on the music and sound effects. There's a post on page 2 of this thread that has some of his battle cries on it.

Ha! I haven't heard that one. But I did hit a Tal-Vasoth with Pinning Shot once and he said, in this unconcerned voice, "Curious, I am pinned." Nothing seems to phase Qunari, even if they're ex-Qunari.

The battle cries count as part of the dialogue volume don't they? So if I turn down the sfx it'll be clearer?. I usually miss these over the slicing & dicing noises

Yes, the combat chatter is dialogue. That's how I rolled with it, anyway: turn down music and sfx all the way, and listen to my party shout at each other.
