Sorry if this has been mentioned before. In awakening, my warden killed the architect so there wouldnt be any "smart" darkspawn. I made completely sure that I killed him which made velanna mad since she wouldnt be able to find her sister. It stated in the epilogue that another blight is likely in the future for killing him. Anyway, in DA2 Nathaniel Howe said that my warden let him live and smart darkspawn might be in the deeproads. Is there a reason he said my warden let him live and there are smarter darkspawn now when I killed him? I imported my most recent save which was after witch hunt. I did origins, lelianas song, darkspawn chronicles, awakening, golems, witch hunt in that order.

could be a glitch. Also, it says somewhere that the Architect passed on his intellect and experiments with other "speaking" darkspawn. So, its possible another Architect has risen

It's an import bug, happened to me too. No idea if they're working on fixing it, but I'm pretty sure Bioware is at least aware of it.

Yeah, its a bug that's been posted about a lot. Don't worry.
Witch Hunt did the same thing. There are a lot of transfer bugs. For example, some players who killed Zev when they first met him will find that he's alive and well in DA2.
I think an interesting question that should be addressed is who are the "allies" was Nathaniel talking about?

Oh ok thanks for the replies. I was wondering if it was a bug or important part of the story that I missed.
