Did you choose to upgrade Bianca with more slots (but subsequently lose armor slots), or did you choose to get the Primeval Lyrium Rune? I'm thinking about upgrading Bianca so I can stack Runes of Impact and maybe Sandal's Special Rune, since Varric is my DPS dealer.
Which reward did you choose for Haunted?

I have done both. I did find that during the final parts of Act 3 when you run into Sandal again Varric does have 2 slots back in his armor. I am just not sure if he lost the extras in Bianca. Made me happy I store that stuff in my chest at the house since that shows up too.
