So I just got Dragon Age 2 working last night and now I'm having a new little problem that I was hoping someone could help me with. While I'm playing about every 3-4 mins the game will just freeze right up for about 30 seconds then continue on playing.

Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions? Should I adjust a certain area of the graphics perhaps?

-Thank you for any help

System Specs? Also when it comes up to a freeze point how noisy are your fans inside your case?

A laptop you say, ASUS gaming laptop doesn't tell me much, it could be overheating at intervals and the CPU slows right down to cool itself again.

Also the GPU might not be the best for DX10 or DX11 operations, so DX9 you might get away with it, but again, System Specs if you please.

If DirectX 9 works for you, it's a workaround, not a fix. I have an ASUS G51VX gaming laptop, and had to update my video drivers this way...

I already DL'd the new nVidia drivers. At first when I bought the game it wouldn't play cut-scenes and the new drivers fixed that. Now it's just the freezing problem..
