The purpose of this mod is to increase your movement/running speed. Base movement speed is 6. The mods in this zip increase it to 12 or 9 depending on which one you choose.
Download here: Faster Runspeed
There are three versions of this mod included in the zip:
apr_base_runspeed_all.gda - This doubles your movement speed (to 12) both in and out of combat.
apr_base_runspeed_combat.gda - This doubles your movement speed (to 12) only OUT of combat.
apr_base_runspeed_half.gda - This increases your movement speed by 50% (to 9)only OUT of combat.
===> Compatible with other mods that alter apr_base.gda
Remember mod authors: when you make changes to a .gda file you only need to share a file that includes the lines you changed. That way, your mod is compatible with other mods that change the same file. That is why this mod is compatible with other apr_base.gda changing mods (like those that alter your mabari hound).

At a commenters request, I added another file to the mod area that gives the half speed boost (from 6 to 9) both in combat and out of combat.

Any chance to get a slower runspeed and combat speed in order to get the same speed as DAO ? A value of 3 or 4 ?
`Does it affect everything or just the main character ?

Slower runspeed won't make combat slower, because attack animations and speed stay the same, as well as all the teleporting around powers.
To slow the game down to DAO levels would require a pretty massive code change - almost total conversion level recoding (if its even possible).
This mod only affects the main character, as this is mainly a convenience thing rather than for changing gameplay around.

If you still really want slower movement speed, I could upload one for you or send you one.
Otherwise, I think most folks will want the various faster run speed options.

I believe I have a similar version of this mod in which only modifies outside combat run speed. Once weapon is drawn, it will go back to normal speed.
First I got it for a little bit of fun, but later on I realize this is so amazing. It may be a cheat but it honestly does not affect game balance as you have no advantage in combat. Instead, I can get between places so much faster now that it is actually a joy to run around especially to search for missing herbs and whatnot. It takes away the tedious part of the game.
Thumb up!

Indeed, I like this change and will download it when I get home. I've played through the game already couple of times with original speed and I see no reason to crawl around during following sessions, moving faster is a definitive bonus.
