I must say, even though I sided with the mages (being one myself, I could do no less,) and I had to fight and kill an astonishing number of blood mages and abominations before I ever saw Meredith. I tried to be as moderate as I could be, even while having to choose sides. I wish the Revered Mother hadn't died in the destruction of the Chantry, because she would have done the most good for uniting and bringing peace to Kirkwall and the Free Marches. Anybody who is completely unwilling to reach a compromise or even to discuss things rationally was not working towards a positive, peaceful outcome. (Orsino, Anders, Meredith.)
I am very interested to see where Thedas goes from here. Maybe the Qunari will attack Orlais next? I did see a book about Orlais in one of the Tal Vashoth camps outside Kirkwall, and now that the Chantry is crumbling, Orlais is basically the epicenter of cultural excess and vice, in many ways. Without their religious superiority, Orlais is nothing but a pile of expensive clothes and perfume, social and political intrigue and sexual depravity. Definitely staying tuned.

My warden was a Dalish Elf and he came from the same clan as Merril (they know eachother) and Marethari, Hawke killed them. Even tho Gray Wardens have to stay neutral, I would not stay neutral as warden in this case...
I hope hawke comes back in something (DLC , Expansion or sequel) together with your romance companion

That's essentially the same as what I was hoping would be the third part of the KotOR trilogy (a 3rd Jedi tracking Revan and the Exile into unknown space). Sigh. Maybe this time it'll pan out, eh?
I really liked the ending of DA2. When I helped the Mages, it felt like I'd lost the war, but was being allowed to leave peacefully because Cullen knew the Templars under Meredith had taken things too far (also because I would have killed them all had they tried to stop me). But siding with the Templars made me feel more like the traditional victorious hero. Thought that was a nice touch.

I felt the same way, i sided with the mages and befriended anders but when the chantry blew up I was so disappointed in him. I couldn't kill him but seriously thought about it and just told him to leave.
As for DA3 it could go a number of ways. I don't think we will be hawke or the warden because some peoples warden's died and we'll probably finish up hawke's story in dlc. But it does seem apparent that hawke and the warden will play a role in the future just like leliana and alister will. Im very excited to see where bioware takes the franchise from here!

Killing Anders ultimately serves little purpose.

Even if Anders dies, Justice wont and thanks to Anders I doubt that Justice would feel any remorse in possessing a templar.
Anders is Justice, Justice is Anders. Kill one, you kill both. They aren't seperate entities.

Sorry if this should be in another thread. It only just occurred to me when I was reading Dave of Canada's post above.

I would like to see Hawke come back with Anders(my Hawke's LI every time) and an army from Tevinter to lead the mages in rebellion.
My Hawke killed Anders. Since he can die and by your hand in DA2, I doubt he will be back as anything more than a cameo if alive like Zevran in DA2.
Although, Leliana appearance was odd. I imported a save that I forgot to get her in DAO yet when she showed up with Sebastian's story, they said she worked with the Warden to stop the Blight. /shrug
