I was just mentioning in the FemHawke thread about how FemHawke is ungodly hot. Seems like the DA2 writers are into the forbidden fruit delio

I thought Bethany was rather boring. I was overjoyed when she was taken to the Circle =P
And by the way, it's blasphemy to compare her to Leliana or Morrigan.

I really hope we get our warden back in DA3 so I can romance Grey Warden Bethany. Morrigan and Leliana were both very beautiful, but they just didnt really spark it for me. Their backstories were interesting and the Witch Hunt DLC was a nice touch, but I believe Bethany is more the type of girl I would want to be with, were she real. We can only pray.

Sure Bethany is attractive, but she's pretty dull as a character. And she had NO specialization like your other companions.
Overall Bethany and Carver were done wrong. There should be places and quests that Bethany can't accompany you on. For example when Hawke is making a trip to the Gallows, Bethany should not be able to go with you. She should be dodging that place completely in the way that Isabella avoids going into the Qunari compound.
This is why losing either sibling is such a bad move. Carver could go places Bethany shouldn't, perhaps as a templar he could have influenced the outcome of certain quests that involved templars. Bethany could still assist on quests that specifically involve mages, where they would be less trusting of a non-mage Hawke. This would also help in dealing with some of the mage issues that everyone in Kirkwall seems to be blind to whenever Hawke or Bethany are using magic in front of them.
It would at least have had the appearance of the Hawke family trying to be "low key" about Bethany's abilities.

well unfortunatly for those of you who decided to be a human mage in the DA:O your kinda her cousin so that would also be incest...that being said though she is hot and i was actually hoping that you could romance her (back in the day incest was totally legal in every society but aparently not fereldan lol)...still i hope the next game you play as a new character and get Bethany on your team and she better be romancable...they also better not bucher her character like they did with Merrill....

I feel for you JohnNintendoNerd.
On a point of realization that I have to choose between walking talking booby-trap and an alien invader (both with awesome voice acting though), my Hawke decided to just be alone and sulk in the corner. He has fantasies about Bethany every night, understanding that she's blood related and... most of the game *NOT IN CONDITION* to be a romantic interest, even if we could break the boundaries of society.
I'd gladly sacrifice both "alien" and "milky-chocolate" in deepest and darkest of places instead, but... it's just the dream.
Since DA2 is breaking quite a few taboos in gaming, I propose to include incest in future DA titles (it's not really a crime if both are willing adults, right?... not in Kirkwall anyway). Or another way is to make Hawke's siblings ugly, that will do it as well I guess...

well we all know that it was jeered at and im not saying that i would find a romance between hawke and bethany exactly cool its one of those things that cool on paper just not good if ever implimented and sadly they might not include her in dragon age 3 and if they do its only going to be a cameo because you can kill her in this one and if they made her a squad mate then it would be a horrible excuse to say "you get random mage because bethany died a horrible death at the hands of the taint (or if your just a bad person Meredith)" still if Bioware can make her a squad mate in dragon age 3 and not butcher her and even better make her a romance option for some other dude (or dudette) then go get em bioware so i wont ever have to feel bad for watching a romance option between hawke and bethany cute but wrong....

I'm almost never a human mage in Dragon Age: Origins because I just prefer being a human male rogue Cousland THAT much more!!
