I haven't purchased him myself, but if i understand correctly he is a preachy chantry boy who will never sleep with you?
Even Alistair gives it up with a little coaxing.
So why do you like him?
What is the appeal Of Sebastian?

But if you rp your charcter wouldn't you want a guy who gives himself to you fully?

Wow sex is a natural part of a healthy relationship not a bad dirty thing.

Sebastian is a preachy person he can go two ways, be a chantry person or be the prince of starkhaven. Chantry person is your friend, Prince is your rival.
I never used him much beyond the personal quests of his to be honest. My main party always consisted of Aveline, Merrill, and Isabela after I lost Bethany/Carver to the end of Act 1 depending on what class I'm playing.
I rarely used Varric. He has some nice party banter but the banter between him and Isabela sometimes creeps me out so he stays at the tavern unless it's personal quest time. Anders stays at his clinic unless it's personal quest time, Fenris stays at home unless personal quest... See the running theme here?
I like Isabela cause she's awesome. Merrill fills my cute elf full of innocent giggles quota. Aveline is my tank in the game, always have to have her in party.
At the end of one of my playthroughs I killed Anders and kept Sebastian on. In another playthrough I let Anders live and lost Sebastian to Starkhaven.
Didn't really like him. Again personal preference. He has a nice VA but beyond that... not much there for me to be honest.

He's cute and his accent is swoonworthy, and he's a perfect gentleman.
A little too perfect. I wish there was a little bit of the old Seb still in there. But he's not a real romance anyway so it doesn't matter much.

He is good looking so the chastity thing is a shame.

I think the appeal lies with his accent, and his brilliant blue eyes. My attraction only goes that far, however.

His personality is meh to annoying. But he is super hot.

It's the big blue eyes. Princes are sexy. The few times I've flirted with him got really cute embarassed reactions from Seb but at the end of the day, he just didn't have enough of a personality to seriously attempt to romance him. Alistair was a naive chantry boy but he was funny, funny goes a long way. Beastly too, if you harden him and go for the threesome, Isabella is so impressed that she asks to borrow him every now and again in the future. My. My. Alistair gots skiiiilllz. hehe.

It's also not the be-all end-all. I didn't get the DLC to have another romance option.Gamer Ftw wrote...

I like him because he's got this quiet presence, and I go for that nobility schtick. And because, Scottish... obvious.

He is like Gerard Butler combined with Melted Butter poured directly into my ear canals. And I'm a dude who expressly enjoys the ladies. His voice is - that - good.

Let's see...he's tall, handsome and has blue eyes? And Alec Newman is his VA - that too.

I liked Sebastian right up until the part where he threatened to go to war if I didn't kill Anders. Now I just want to stab Seb in the face with a spoon.

I was happy stabbing Anders in the back with a knife myself.

Just don't stab Isabela anywhere with a fork. She likes it for some strange reason.

I really do like Isabela's banter. Seb on the other hand really over does the chantry crap with his banter.
I guess I'd really like Seb a little more if he achieved something after I helped him avenge his family, twice.

He's one hoopy frood. Even when he's have a deep conflict over his place in the world he's just so confident and genuinely good person. Also he's the best kind of religious; the "I have faith in something that makes me happy but if it doesn't make you happy whatever I'm not gonna preach it to you" kind of religious. I'd say he reminds me of a guy I knew in high school but that'd be kind of meaningless here.
