Hello I recently bought Dragon Age Origins: UE for the XBOX 360. I am having trouble on how to customiize my character into a warrior tank. Do you guys know if you can give me step by steps on what points I should allocate to strength, dexterity, and consitution and also what skills and talents I should forego. I hope you guys can help me out because when I travel from town to town my main character gets slaughtered by a pack of wolves. lol I know it sounds embarassing since my character is a warrior tank but the pack of wolves always knock me down and I cannot move because the wolves are feasting on my body while I am sleeping in the ground watching them devour my body. I hope you guys can give me some great advice for my human noble warrior tank build. Thank You

Well me, I love 2H'rs with indomidable and all strength. Indomitable will stop you from being knocked over or stunned so that in my opinion makes it superior to W/S.

Try and keep another character with a stun/knockdown ability ready. When your warrior gets thrown to the ground by a wolf, have Sten pommel strike or Alistair shield bash/shield pummel the wolf that is on your warrior. Stunning/knocking down enemies that are grabbing or pouncing on you frees your party member.

For your build, get shield defense early. Morrigan's first spell that you can pick should be heal as well.

I uploaded my character in my profile. Could you guys check it out if I distributed my stats evenly and if my character is progressing well enough with the right abilities and skills?

Finish the second shield line now, shield wall and shield expertise. Dont put any points into con, split between str and dex till dex is 26, then rest of points into strength. Have you set your parties tactics up right?

No I have not set my party's tactics. I set them up for default.

Every mage that you have should have the heal spell and these 2 tactics.
Ally health <50% - Heal and Self health <50% - Heal. Also give every party member the tactic self health < 25% - use health poultrice.

Those go a long way toward helping.

search the forums and the wiki for tips on tactics, will be quicker than waiting for a reply as there are hundreds of posts already on it.

Also, do what Gravbh said.

For me though
There are only 2 ways to play a warrior excitingly..
A 2Handed damager with high strength and med dex and above average cunning
A duel handed warrior DAMAGER with high dexterity and cunning and above average strength

What would be a good compliment as a 2nd weapon set for a warrior invested in the shield and sword school? Archery or 2 handed weapon? Also the warrior I have is a tank.

Archery always helps when you want to take out enemies before they can get to you...

However, archery goes best together with dual wield, since both talent trees are DEX based, so both are best suited to a DEX-based warrior...

So I would assume a 2 handed weapon would complement shield sword as a 2nd weapon set?

Nah you want the 2nd weapon set on all of your melee characters to be a ranged weapon. Even if you're warrior isn't specced for archery there are times where it's more effective to have your entire group pick people off from range, i.e. thinning out a big group or if an enemy is on a ledge. You'd be surprised how quickly you can drop normal level enemies with all of your characters shooting them, even if you have no true archers.

you are basically going to maximise your tank in Strength Constitution Cunning and Medium Dex since he/she is a tank

I would not suggest using a BOW but i recommend a CrossBow which capacitates your warrior better than the bow
Bow is a dex stat so unless you are a dual wielder  it fires misses when you need them the most
Use a crossbow and get some awesome bolts that do fire damage cold damage and nature damage

I recommend archery as the second option but for a warrior a crossbow is far better than a bow and you dont have to invest high in dex for a great bow but you can have a great  cross bow whose firing is slower perhaps but its bolts are power packed than arrows

I actually spend lots of points in strength and dexterity, mostly strength.I have constitution at 20 so is that enough or should I spend a lot more points in constitution to let my warrior survive several blows? I don't know about cunning isn't just for rogues? I thought the main attributes for warriors are strength, dexterity, and constitution?

I noticed that 583 people viewed this thread and nobody found it in their heart to answer in my thread. Are the people who view the thread just passing through or do not have the will to respond/reply back?

There are hundreds of people asking the same questions over and over? Have you searched the forums instead of asking the same question again and again. The very first post is a sticky of Character builds, have you looked at that? I already answered you. 20 con is fine, 26 dex for your shield talents, rest in strength. If you are overpowered by a wolf switch to a different character and stun the wolf that is on top of you.

How much should I spend more on strength? I am already at 40 strength. Is there a max for attributes or can I raise till 50 and beyond?

As I said just keep on pumping :) can just keep on going. It will increase your damage. If you wanted to make a more survivable tank then you can get your dex higher, and use a dagger. if you have the strength for massive armor then if you wanted to go down this route it is viable. Read this: http://social.biowar...6/index/2761368 to help you make up your mind.

After reading that again, I would definitely opt for strength build.

Okay, having read up/ looked at your character I can recommend a few things:

1) Take the first rank of Stealing - this opens up the Slim Couldry questline in Denerim, which if done correctly can allow you to make a lot of money with very little effort, apart from one medium size mob fight and a fairly inane dungeon.
Here is a link to the guide I used the first time round: Link

This should do wonders for any money making you may wish to start.

2) Complete the 2nd Shield Line, then the 3rd, before picking up Assault. Though useful, Assault is unnecessary with many party set ups, as it is a straight up four-hit talent without any additional effect save possibly bonus DPS.

3) Go to Warden's Keep as soon as you can - you can obtain the map entry from Levi Dryden in the Party Camp. Here you can obtain the Warden Commander's Armour Set, which is very useful and certainly more so than the Blood Dragon Armour. The Blood Dragon can then be relegated to a companion, say Sten, to wear and make good use of. Also, here you can make use of some Meteor Metal Ore, and transform into a sword known as Starfang. This can be a 1-handed weapon or a 2-handed weapon, but both are excellent weapons which you can obtain early on (from as low a level as Lvl 7/8).
Alternatively, you can go back to Ostagar and complete Return to Ostagar for a similar reward in some highly useful armour and weapons - though I haven't gotten round to doing that myself, it is very useful from the sounds of things.

4) Ditch the Iced Bands you are wearing for rings. They only improve on existing Cold damge, so unless you are using Frost Weapons with Morrigan, then the rings have no effect on your character's damage, and therefore are completely useless on your character. I cannot recommend a set though as my personal experience with warriors and to a lesser extent rogues has me running Key to the City with Harvest Festival Ring to great effect, though many other people run different sets instead.

5) More importantly, have fun. If you decide that you want to do something for personal reasons for your character, like choosing to wear a worse armour because you like the aesthetics, do so! Don't be afraid to decide to do things for story reasons over the advantages of meta-gaming. After all, people can boast about beating the game on Nightmare with only their player character all they like, but I know I would't enjoy the game that way, because it would require an awful lot of meta-gaming and silly choices which wouldn't make sense to do with my character's personality. I have had one "meta-gaming" run, with my first complete save, and I found that in the end said character was boring and without a personality, for reasons such as deciding to romance three companions, choosing the most bland options, and having no opinion on any matter of importance beyond "What will give me more EXP?"
Even worse, said save isn't the highest levelled character I've played, which says a lot.
