Just a thought I've been having, but do you think the result of Anders and Justice merging into Vengeance can also be attributed to the darkspawn taint running through Anders? Remember, he is, or was a Grey Warden, and they have to take on the darkspawn taint which either kills or CORRUPTS nearly anything it contacts. Wynne wasn't a Grey Warden, yet was possessed by a spirit as well, and wasn't as unstable. Then again, different factors, Wynne's was pretty much dead when she was possessed/brought back, and she didn't quite have the same opinions of injustice by the templars as Anders, at peace with the Circle of Magi in fact. I was just wondering if anyone else thought this.

I don't think it has anything to do with the taint.
Merrill: Are you all right?
Anders: I nearly killed an innocent girl. How could I be all right?
Merrill: I'm sorry.
Anders: You're sorry? For me? This could be you! You could be the next monster threatening helpless girls!
Merrill: Anders... There's no such thing as a good spirit. There never was.
Merrill: All spirits are dangerous. I understood that. I'm sorry that you didn't.

The last body Justice had was also a grey warden, and nothing happened to him then.

Good point, totally forgot about that part.
