Of course not. All the questions will be written and pre-selected to advertise how awesome the comics and games are, complete with buzz words and marketing slogans. If we're lucky, "emotionally engaging" might make its triumphant return!
Don't forget "cinematic experience" and "compelling characters"!
You forgot the biggest of them all. "Really amped up experience" and "dark second act".

Bioware does indeed have the worse marketing team ever. There is no point for the trailer, a trailer is meant to get people ready for something.
I love how people who don't know how to do my job tell me how to do my job. A trailer IS meant to get you ready to do something. It is to get you ready to buy the product. Whether it comes out today or next week, it accomplishes the same thing.
An advance trailer for everyone posting in this thread is not needed. You all know about Arrival and, as long as you believe it has value and fun for your dollar, you will likely buy it. And to play Devil's Advocate a moment, if you don't like what you see in the trailer or don't see the fun/value, giving it to you today or next week makes no difference.
A trailer released on the day it is available showing how cool it is saying "now available" will drive people who do not frequent these forums or the Mass Effect website to buy it immediately (yes, because it is cool and an excellent DLC that we feel peopel will want to play).
People here are upset because you think someone promised you a trailer today (which we never did) or because you have to wait 7 days. I get that waiting sucks, but thats the way it is. I get you are disappointed, but some of the blame goes to all of you who got your hopes up.
That said, we do have some cool stuff coming between now and next Tuesday, like the live chat we're going to have with Mac Walters talking about Arrival, comic books, other cool Mass Effect discussion. Details of the chat to be sent out soon.
Stay Tuned.
Nice explanation

the whole dark aspect debate is really centered around the crew. the me2 crew seems more adult targeted instead of your same old regular charachter story line. when i first met thane i fell in love with the charachter and legion is another fan favorite of mine. i mean if you think of it i believe jacks story is darker than the rest of the crews.

i will wait to buy arrival without a trailer its like releasing a movie and its trailer at the same time its a bad idea i think release the trailer on thursday so we can bear the wait
We've gotten the leak from the PS3 patch, the DA2 leafleft, the screenshots and the CDN has come back to life....
I think we can manage....
As for releasing the trailer on the day of release... The DLC is not like the theatrical release of a movie, which is out for a few weeks and then disappears for a few months until it's on the shelves... It's available indefinitely... There's no need to hype everyone up about it, months ahead, in time for a small window of opportunity to see the thing.

Bioware fans can be so melodramatic sometimes.
in a way i feel that mass effect fans demand wayyy to much from bioware. yes i know back then bioware said theyll listen to fans but i must admit ( as a fan) i do see alot of people get to be pretty prickish torwards the devs. im not saying im innocent myself in the debate but most or half of these fans end up blood thirsty wich imo isnt cool
Bungie for people like myself have set the standard for how developers should be interacting with their community.

I can't help but wonder though, does that mean that the trailer will be spoilerific? As for releasing the trailer on the day of release... You have to understand that ME2 is evil and that everyone is supposed to hate it, so it is compulsory to have to read these kind of comments in a thread completely unrelated to such a purpose.PrinceOfFallout13 wrote...

Frankly enough, I don't see how a two minute trailer about a dlc with probably 35min of story can't be spoilerific. If they had shown what the Shadow Broker looked like in the LotSB trailer, I would have seen it all before it even happened.Phaedon wrote...

I have to agree. But then Bungie don't develop RPGs.

Honestly I didn't expect a trailer ever. I figured it would be spoilerish since it kind of ties into the ending of the actual game itself.
That said obviously they want the main fanbase that follows the game on the forums to go into it blind. You guys did complain about spoilers.

i like to know what im buying the description is not helpful at all a trailer would help with all that but thats just me
A review of the thing would be more useful than that - or playing the thing for yourself at a friend's before buying. Trailers are generally designed to make the thing look good as possible, not give you a balanced idea of the thing :/
