And I know Dragon Age and Mass Effect are totally different teams and have no connection. I understand that, but others don't. The mind of a paranoid paniced fanboy is an irrational fragile thing.

they have no one to blame but themselves is not the mass effect team problem that the da fans are scared or whateverAquamanOS wrote...
I think the problem Chris is that people just want reassurance that it will be similar to what they are expecting. People are hoping to see good stuff here but are afraid for the franchise because Dragon Age 2 disapointed alot of people and made them wary to the point where it being cheaper is making them fear it will be short and unsatisfying. Again because Dragon Age Origin's final DLC Witch Hunt also disapointed them.
And I know Dragon Age and Mass Effect are totally different teams and have no connection. I understand that, but others don't. The mind of a paranoid paniced fanboy is an irrational fragile thing.

Whose idea was it anyway to make a
thread about some guy's Twitter feed (instead of the official Bioware
feed) and claim it had news about an upcoming trailer when no such
statement was made on the Twitter feed?

Exactly. All he said was that he's showing some folks at IGN something Arrival-related. For whatever reason, the bellyachers on this forum turned that one tweet into OMG THERE'S AN ARRIVAL TRAILER FOR SURE ON TUESDAY and then OMG BIOWARE ARE JERKS FOR NOT GIVING ME WHAT I WANT WHEN I WANT IT.
Like I said before, a lot of you need to chill out.

No kidding. I'd like a trailer but Chris's point is well taken. I don't care if there is a trailer before release or not I know it will be great.ianmcdonald wrote...

Traditionally there has always been a trailer for story based DLC one week before the actual release. So even without Jesse Houstons tweet (which technically didn't actually say anything) people would still have expected to see "something" today.
Basically no trailer "fine" that is Bioware's choice but don't leave a topic talking about a trailer coming on Tuesday going for over 24 hours before you actually come in and say there will be no trailer.

If you're going to cry about something, whine that the people at Bioware are greedy bastards for only thinking about how to make the largest amounts of cash with a trailer and not catering to the fanbase. Even though that would be equally as retarded, it would atleast make some sense.

I am not going to complain about the absence of a trailer it is Bioware's choice if they don't want to reveal stuff to customers. However I do have to question why it took 19 hours for them to comment on the fact there wouldn't be a trailer.

Indeed, and well said. I woke up to 16 pages of this thread (was only about half that size last night) and was expecting "something" given that this hadn't been locked and there had been Bioware comments made (thanks Chris for the clarification, albeit a bit later than it could have been). Ah, well. I'm buying the DLC anyway so no extra marketting is needed to reel me in but sure was looking forward to something shiny today.

Making a trailer that says "Now available" makes great sense.
"I thought you were a hero! Heroes don't do things like this!"
Nah I kid.
Nothing wrong with having the trailer come out on release day, although I will admit I like to see trailers before something is out. That way I can form some judegments on it. Generally if the trailer is good (be it a movie or game) it strongly encourages me to put some money aside and "Go, go, go!" Now I'm going to be far more likely to hesitate (Hold the line!) and see what the reviews and others say after the first day or two, since I have only just now seen the trailer. But that's just me, and I will admit I'm rather fanatic/critical about following anything Mass Effect .
So don't let us crazies here rattle your cage too much about not having a trailer yet. That said it would be nice to learn about things a little farther ahead of time so we don't end up speculating quite so much. Although I'm aware that's not always possible. Thanks for letting us know all the same though.
