Yeah, that´s like arguing that God exists because you can feel it. Feelings prove nothing and are no gurantee for anything factual. What I commented is not an opinion, it is stating facts and I have no problem on repeating: no matter what you do, the consequences and outcome is the same.

Like I said and as a matter of fact there are no "endings". No matter what you do or side:

-You have to kill Orsino and Meridith.
-Both templars and mages revolt in all Thedas..
-Chaos spreads through Kirkwall.
-Anders blows a chantry.
-Your companions scatter except your LI if you had one.

The difference is simply not shown and based on off the screen appreciations.

Yeah, this thing about the "whole world" being at war is completely ridiculous. The player experiences nothing of the sort, and from the gameplay experience this conflict seems like nothing more than a stupid local matter.

In fact, all of the players I know were so fed up with dealing with mages and Templars at that point that if the designers continue this incredibly annoying conflict into DA3 then that just means there is even less incentive to get it. That would utterly ruin Dragon Age (if DA2 hasn't done that already).

Come up with a better story, Bioware. You had a much more epic conflict primed and ready to go (all-out war with the Qunari), and you blew it by obsessing over this idiotic mage-Templar conflict.

Become Viscount - Templars Rebel as does the Circle...it isn't made clear on this...but I wouldn't be surprised if this option leads to more Templars supporting the mages and helping them in their uprising...

I don't think that's the case. Although the Order of Templars apparently defected from the Chantry as well as the Circles, they don't seem to be allied with one another. Varric said, "The Champion's name became a rallying cry for all mages, a reminder of their brutal oppression. He had shown not only what the templars were willing to do, but that they could be defeated." It gives a negative slant to how the mages view the templars, and their actions at Kirkwall.

My favorite ending (so far) was my apostate mage siding with mages, keeping (a romanced) Anders alive with Carver as a Grey Warden. When Carver showed up, I was so impressed by how much he had grown up. My Hawke was so proud of him.

Bethany was always a "good girl" so her circle mage return in my rogue's play through didn't seem to have the same emotional impact.

I also enjoyed the aspotate mage siding with the templars with a templar Carver. Poor Anders.

Also from what I am hearing I will need to confirm, If Anders is a friend and you talk to him, he will tell you what he is planning on doing and you can change it. But I need to confirm as this is told to me by a friend and I have not seen it personally...

I believe this rivalmanced Anders conversation is what you're thinking of:

You probably could have talked Anders out of it had not Vengeance taken over and essentially shoved Anders consciousness down basically telling Hawke to butt out. When "Anders" returns, he has no memory of what Vengeance said and admits to being too weak to fight him. :crying:

The problem I find witch choices is that in theory, the idea of experiencing then in the game as opposed to the ending is good. I mean, it works whith your companions (you can be rival or friend, and that determines certain reactions), it works with chains of quests (if you support these people in Act 1, this other quest happens in Act 2) and it reinforces dramatism in what you cannot change (mom's death). On that, I really like DA2.

However, when things get serious, nasty and big, you simply don't make a difference. All the above could be said from Origin; it was very nice to influence your companions and discuss with them DA 2 took it and extended it to an extent but at the same time, it leaves you powerless in events that you were not in DAO.
