Yep Sten killed some children to boot over losing a friggen sword. If memory serves correct. Please do "correct," me if I'm wrong.

Zevran is in fact an Assassin. A murderer of people some innocent and some not so much. Either way he's killed for gold which is worse.

And Leliana wasn't always a follower of the Maker. She has a pretty shady history herself.

So folks while I hate what Anders did, he did have motive, cause, and reasons he found to be the means. I don't excuse his actions, but I don't necessarily condone them. If you have played Dragon Age Origins/Awakenings then you've seen far worse then a Mage inciting rebellion and murdering a handful of tools in their church.

The only reason I spared Anders was because I hoped it'd let me kill Sebastian.

Q:Sebastian... could I hate you any more than I already do?
A:Yes, you probably could, give it a few more playthroughs.

Personally I loved his character. Sans the "Join the Chantry with Me!" part. That was a very D: moment as a fangirl. Tears of blood I tell you.

Take revenge on Anders. Fine. Maybe he'll put up another poster in Starkhaven and wait for someone to do the job for him.

But razing Kirkwall in the process as well? No.

Poor Sebastian. I don't like him much, but even I'm starting to feel a little sorry for him.

....Do you think he'd have more fans if he were a "real" LI?

Seb rubs me up the wrong way constantly. He's always going on about Andraste and the Maker to the companions and I love hearing "I really don't give a ****" from them all.
I was going to kill Anders at the end of my second playthrough but I just can't pass up the opportunity to ****** Seb off. Run back home chantry boy, if you want to have a pointless war with a city that did nothing but get itself blown up by a mage then go ahead. It's not like Hawke's going to be waiting around for you.
If there's another Hawke game then I hope he turns up again just so I can yell at him some more :D

You can witness the Grand Cleric scolding him for being impulsive. Chances are it's only an empty threat born out of anger. *shrug*

It's even stupider if you side with the mages and keep Anders with you... Anders and Hawke are not going to even be in Kirkwall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sebastian doesn't have the balls to act on anything he says. If I was him and my family had been murdered and I had an army at my disposal you'd see my morals fly right out the window. Because ever last one of those sobs would be dead. By my hand.

What got me was that he put up a wanted poster for others to go out and exact HIS revenge on HIRED mercenaries, then sat in the Chantry and waited for results.  What?

Exactly Sebastian is a double standard, contradicting, hypocritical tool. By far my most hated character.

I can stomach Fenris, I can swallow Aveline's bs, I can bite my lip when Anders turns into a douche, but Sebastian... Sebastian makes me want to kick midgets and put babies in blenders.

LOL @theradicalpunk
This time around I'm playing an evil mage so I think I will antagonize Sebastian at EVERY turn. And use him for money. Muahahaha.

This, except I <3 Aveline hardcore. Also, I want to kick midgets and put babies in blenders by default, but knowing that Sebastian exists makes that much less fun.

Well, much better than Anders who needs your help collecting poo in the sewers. :D

LoL, you would be better served by listing those in the game that weren't double standard, contradicting, hypocritical tools.  The list would be short.

But he's the "prince," of the tools. I don't know who king tool is yet. It's a tie between Orsino and Meredith. At least as far as I'm concerned.

I hated him too, until my third run when he was in my party at the and I had actually done all his personal quests.

Sebastian sticks by your side if you do the right thing. IT just so happens that killing anders IS the right thing to do.

See, he isn't there because he is your best buddy (varric) , or your GF/BF (Isabella/Fenris), or an ostracized pariah and GF (Merill), or your sister/brother, but rather he is there because he believes that you are a good person and a great leader.

I'm not sure I can convey this properly, and I'm certainly not a very religious person, but his respect for Hawke somehow makes her seem more epic to me.

If you've never used him heavily and had him at full friend at hte end (which is done by basically doing his quests), you should try it.

He actually isn't a bad guy.

If you love anders you may feel differently, because you have to kill anders to keep him (not sure if he leaves if you have friend maxed and dont kill anders), but I was going to kill anders anyway because he is a liability and a cold-blooded murderer.

Killing anders is the single act that redeems a mage-supporting hawke. otherwise you are jsut a bully who is really good at fighting and cares nothing for justice. I like to see hawke as an impartial distributor of comeuppance, and that requires the death of anders.

Yeah, I hate Sebastian. Raise an army? Bring it, traitor. The ONE time I needed you, you betrayed me. I'll do to you exactly what I did to the Arishok and Meredith and Fenris.

They are guilty of opression.

There's no way that explosion didn't take out nearby buildings and kill people on the nearby streets...

I'm not trying to sound elitest, but this is your opinion which others may share. But I played a Rogue with a heart of gold, but a rogue nonetheless. And killing outside of self-defense was not the persona of my Hero Hawke.

Even for what Anders did. Am I that selfless? Or righteous? I don't know. But my hawke walks a fine line of greed and heroism. Killing Anders may or may not be the right thing. In the makers eyes in their lore? Who knows. In their courts? Most likely? By the hand of a champion who is neither guard, nor poltical figure in kirkwall?

Hawke was merely a noble, short of that people just asked for his help.

Did everybody miss the hypocrisy in Sebastian wanting to destroy Kirkwall over Anders when it was made perfectly clear that Elthina was more than willing to die to PROTECT the city of Kirkwall? How did no one see that what Sebastian was doing was basically amounting to spitting on Elthina's grave?

Eh. I don't hate Seb anymore. He's a pretty decent guy if a bit waffly.

Besides pretty much everyone in Hawke's crew is a hypocritical douchebag.

Merrill, Varric and Aveline aren't hypocritical at all, Anders and Fenris have relatively mild cases of it brought on by extreme trauma, and Isabela, while having numerous flaws, doesn't seem to have hypocrisy as a major one.
