Anyone seen the Isabella hair/skin mod?

I hate dark chocolate but that does not make me racist, the fact I look at a man and see that hes another color than I is what makes me a racist. So you are just as injustice and prejudice as the next man.

And second: What does the OP say to the "darker Isabela" mods out there?
See: "Isabela Improved", http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2358.
Is this "racist"? I think not. I think, like every other appearance mod, it's simply making a character more attractive as determined by the person creating (or using) it. Chacun à son goût!

Doesn't look like a darker skin tone to me, it looks like the last pic is the only one with that look because the before is in the bright light and the after pic is in the dimly lit tavern.
Also this mod is not being advertised as a change of skin tone and isn't named to reflect it.

And in making a darker verison of Isabela, the modder remodelled some of her features to be more in-line with what might be appropriate for someone with that colouring. Isn't that exactly what you were asking about? Why, in your opinion, all the mods had tended toward one (white, northern European) ideal of beauty? Here someone goes in the other direction and you dismiss it as "insufficiently dark".
Who's being overly restrictive in their appreciation of different looks now? If a mod doesn't satisfy you because of certain elements, let's see your attempt at one. There is certainly no one preventing such mods from being made and distributed. Knock yourself out!

I suspect that you won't be satisfied until they ALL change their mods to conform to your obvious pre-disposition to blue skin tones.

... but because for a group of people who supposedly love DA's lore (I would hope you love Thedas lore if you're playing the game,) you really are spitting on said lore but changing the appearance of someone from a culture in said lore. Isabela is Rivain, she needs to be of that culture in appearance.
Just like I have a problem with people turning the female party members into elves in DAO. It makes no sense, and it's stupid. Especially when dialogue conflicts with these changes.

Sorry this is a forum for dicussion, it seems you are the one that has a problem with the adult conversation being broached here, if I am entitled not to use the mod because I don't like it you are entitled not to comment if you do not like the topic.
True, but you do realize that nobody except you seems to have that issue, wich could mean that you are reading into this WAY to deep. On another note, as some stated before what about mods that changed the characters to be darker? Isnt that "racist" aswell? Or I dont like Merril to be white, Im gonna make her black, is that racist? No it is personal preference.
But looking at your posts so far you only feel "offended" if a "dark" character is made "white", wich essentially renders your entire argument pointless and beyond belief. Why, because it is obvious that you are biased. Sorry IF you want to discuss this in a mature way, you should first throw that prejudice over board. After that is done people might take your arguments more serious

Show me this mod and then we can talk on how white characters are discriminated against in games, oh wait they aren't.

yet in DAO, Isabela had red hair and her skin was lighter than it is in DA2
I'm one of the ppl who downloaded this mod...does that make me some neo-**** white supremist? no...it makes me someone who wanted to have Isabela more like how she was in the orig story for continuity's sake, -not- because I'm "racist"
everyone has their own opinions and that's fine, but I have to agree with most of the ppl here...I feel the op's making a mountain out of a molehill, and I honestly don't think the mod's "racist"...but I guess ppl can find bigotry in anything if they look hard enough and want to find it badly enough

I think he/she didn't answere it because the response would have been no, and that would have made his/her point invalid. Because somehow i doubt he/she cares if a white person is made black, but hell no if a brownish person is made white.

How am I missing the point? it is a non-issue if the mod doesn't exist, if you made a mod called "blacker Anders" then yes that would be discriminating, they needed to change the skin colour of the character in order for it to be "perfect" for them.

So by that logic IF anyone changes anything on any character in any game, they are racist? Wow... just wow.

WAIT i just realised something, doesn't that mean that the changing Hawke's face with the character creation is discriminating since we make them look like we want?

then by that logic, you're saying Bioware's being discriminating because they made her coloring much darker in DA2 than it was in DAO

If you need to change the skin colour of a games LI to make them more suitable for you then there is a problem somewhere.

Why don't you just come clean, admit that you're hurt & won't be happy until everyone's skin tone is blue?

It runs a bit deeper than that, for gamers to have a perfect game the characters must be white? people can certainly have different tastes but thinking "you know what would make this game better? if Isabella was white" seems more like discriminatory behaviour to me.
I almost made a serious, lengthy reply to this post.
Then I read the above from you, and I realized you are just a race baiting troll who doesn't have 2 spare brain cells to run together.
I pity your miserable existence if you are so hateful that you find "racism" in something as simple as a variation on a character in a video game.
