You are missing the point.

How am I missing the point? it is a non-issue if the mod doesn't exist, if you made a mod called "blacker Anders" then yes that would be discriminating, they needed to change the skin colour of the character in order for it to be "perfect" for them. 

So by that logic IF anyone changes anything on any character in any game, they are racist? Wow... just wow.

If you need to change the skin colour of a games LI to make them more suitable for you then there is a problem somewhere.

Right... so Im not free to have my own taste now? So saying I dont date chinese girls because  I dont get turned on by them, or saying I dont like "girly" girls because that aint my style, somehow makes me descriminating?

I mean I dont care about them being chinese or being "girly", they can do whatever they want and can originate from wherever they want I DONT CARE.

But you appearently do, wich makes you by definition a racist. Maybe this is easier to understand:

Nobody cares about race, wich eliminates YOUR problem. YOU want this "problem" to be discussed, but as you can see NOBODY except you has a problem whith this, why? Because you CARE about this, wich means that the issue of "race" is important to you. YOU created this problem, NOT the mod.

Even though I am not completely with the OP on this one, I have to say that after reading the thread, I can totaly see his/her point, and some here are realy trying hard to misunderstand him/her.
For one:
"If you don't like it, don't download it" has nothing to do with the issue. If there was a mod called "white Isabella, because it's so much better than having a black person running around" we wouldn't even question a discussion about it, would we?
So the question to debate actually is: is it racist or just personal taste?

I personally have to say that I felt a little anger when I saw that mod, but I didn't think about it anymore until I saw this thread. Now I'm asking myself: "why did I feel angry?"
Was it because I thought the creator was racist Or because I thought that so few people see how aesthetic dark skin is? (personal taste?)

I would pick the latter, since I like dark/tanned skin, but again if you COULD choose what girls you sorround yourself with, wouldnt you pick those who would suit you the most? (personal taste)

Wich is exactly what this mod does, giving players the option to do so.

I think she looks gorgeous as she is in DA2. I just feel it hurts the immersion a bit when comparing her to DAO, so I got the mod.

if there was a mod for DAO that made her look as she does in DA2, I'd probably have gotten that...wait, would that make me a double racist? *smirks*

She's Rivaini, not Antivan. They're sort of black/mediterranean amalgams.

here's a comparrison of all three versions.  I know there's a blonde version, but there's also red and black hair as well, but the skin color is barely different!

I could say something cheap as "So you prefer darker skin more than lighter skin, omg you racist" but i won't it would indeed be low.

But the thing is if a white person said he finds lighter skin tone to be more aesthetic as you said, the word racist would be shouted out really quick.

It's bull**** since it's a matter of personal preference, nothing more, when it comes to me atleast.

Your comparison is misleading, the majority of the variations within the mod are pale white in skin colour and the header file image is a white Isabella with blonde hair, with the title Fairer Isabella.

This thread, and every one like it, should be reported again and again.

It is a clear attempt by the OP to paint the mod author and any one who uses this mod as racist and to belittle, cajole, and harrass mod makers and users into only making/using mods that fit into the OP's "approved" behavior rule set.

You're right, Drax, If even actual pictures are still "misleading" to the racism the op sees, then I give up. Sometimes no matter what, ppl see what they want to see.  Sad, because when I see Isabela, I don't see white, black, medeteranian, chinese, etc...I see a confident (albeit promiscuous) pirate woman. Guess I'm wrong to see her that way.

As it pertains to this mod:  There is nothing wrong with it... download it and enjoy it if you wish.  There is no racism here unless you perceive it to be.
