I'm taking a educated guess but any characters that survive the last mission will return in mass effect 3 because mass effect 2 was to build your team and kill the collectors esscessly.

More than likely. It would be ridiculous for Mass 2 to be all about recruitment and then none of the recruitees are squad members. I understand that they can die and that can create a ****storm, but Bioware made it that way for a reason.

That was uncalled-for. But on topic, you were recruiting a team to take down the collectors, what was done and yeah if everyone survived the final mission and all stayed together it would make sense for them to be in ME3 as well. I hope bioware work out a way to bring back some of the ME2 squadmates to be available in your squad in 3 but it will be a technical nightmare for them to pull off for the people who's squadmates died, they would have to replace them with other characters that means double the dialogue. I personally can't see it happening but would love to see Garrus and Tali back, and Kasumi. Miranda too... And Jack... Legion, basically everyone is what i'm trying to say

At least one of our teammates from ME2 is confirmed back. Tricia Helfer twittered a couple of hours ago that she had just finished the first session of voiceacting for ME3 as EDI. This could strongly imply that we will keep the ship provided by Cerberus in ME2. Maybe it also implies that the surviving members from the Suicide mission will be there as well?

A) He could be dyslexic or foreign. It's 'you're' not 'your'. If you're going to do the grammar na zi thing, then at least make sure your own grammar is correct.

Well, for those who read the Game Informer magazine article on ME3, we know that Ashley/Kaiden will come back as party members (depending on who you saved and who you let go), Liara will come back, and they did confirm that Garrus will be a party member (given that he survives).
The tricky part about this info though is that Bioware said that there might be situations where some party members are not permanent, and are just a part of the team for one mission or a series of specific missions (i.e. think of Liara from Lair of the Shadow Broker, or Trask Ulgo from the tutorial mission in KotOR).
They also hinted at Mordin and Legion coming back as party members, or just people on the crew who stay on the ship, but this isn't certain.
Personally, I would think that if Garrus is back, then pretty much every other character comes back as a party member, or as a crew member on the ship to talk to (provided they survive). What might suck about this is that if most of the crew were killed in a given playthrough of ME2, then the player just might miss out on a lot of dialogue content at the very least. But I guess that was the forseeable consequense Bioware put out there to make players really think of their descisions in the first two games.

I looked at the list of returning characters. No where does it say Grunt, Kasumi Goto, or Samara/Morinth... Boo!!! I want to see them in Mass Effect 3. I also would like to see Emily Wong, Fist, Doctor Chakwas, Helen Blake, Khalisal al-jilani, Rana Thanoptis, Gianna Parasini, and Shiala.
