Beeing a bit more thorough on my second playthrough, I'm doing all the Bone Pit quests... so, I bought these pick axes from the smith in Lowtown. Um.... 15 souvreigns. :crying:

Searching the net, apparently all you get for that is 1000 xp for completing the quest - no noticeable difference or change in later game. Thes seems a bit of a meager reward for such a steep price. <_<

Especially since there isn't an abundance of money in this game - you always have things you would want to buy but can't afford. It seems odd to me that

1) You can't walk away from this non-haggling smith, and find another smith that WILL haggle. You should be able to find the most competitive price.
2) You don't find out the precise price before agreeing to buy!
3) In general, despite being a half-owner of the Bone Pit, you never see a single dime. You just get a lot of work. There's something wrong with this picture...

In Divinity 2, there's a man who'll sell you a house. You can buy either a cheap shack or a nice place. After you buy the house, he tells you that he needs money to repair it a bit. After that, he offers to furnish it for you.

You can give this man up to 100 g, and you'll never see the house. Why? Because he's a con.

Games sometimes do this.
